Yes, he walks in the door and at first you think, “Oh wow, he’s old, he has an accent, and he seems rough around the edges,” but he will take plenty of time, he will answer your questions thoroughly and listen to yours attentively, and will consider not just neurological solutions but factor in your entire overall health and well being as well. Doesn’t mince words but is also very kind and supportive. Excellent doctor.

Only form of payment accepted is paper checks. Cannot use FSA medical card. I had to go to a bank, pay for a money order, and return it to doctor's office fora $40 copay. Shockingly antiquated.

There is no electronic bill pay option. The only payment option is to send in a check via snail mail, or cash payment (who has paper checks and/or carries filthy paper money anymore??), and what person wants to stand in line at a bank (subject themselves to Covid) to get a cashiers check just to send a $35 payment. I strongly suggest Dr. Gorenstein's office consider more convenient electronic options for their patients to submit payment. I had to send them a Zelle payment and they didn't even have record of it and sent me a final billing notice. As a patient, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to make a simple payment. Very frustrating! Additionally, I went to Dr. Gorenstein because I was having concerning symptoms. Dr. Gorenstein spent 5-10 mins with me and told me I was fine. I went to see another Dr. and come to find out I had a benign tumor in my head. Dr. Gorenstein would have found this had he ordered appropriate testing - but I felt shrugged off. This is not healthcare.

In 2011, as a consultant, after reading her MRI, advised me that my mother should move out of her home of 31 years and in with my brother's daughters (who live in 4 or 5 separate homes) - whatever that means. Mom's primary care MD strongly disagreed, advised the opposite. Mom is fiercely independent, thought Dr. Gorenstein's advice was nonsense and intrusive, refused to move. 6 + years later, Mom is still living in her home of now 37 years, takes care of herself and manages her own affairs.

Worst experience I have ever had with a Dr. He didn't care to listen to my issues. I discussed my symptoms with him and he dismissed everything I said. He even mocked my symptoms. The next doctor I went to after Dr. Gorinstein ordered an MRI immediately. I felt like Dr. Gorinstein didn't care about me and was just getting me out the door the second I walked in... All the other Dr. websites give him terrible reviews. I wish I saw them before I went.
