Incompetent, rude, dismissive, useless
I waited 6 months to see Dr. Quintana. Today during my appointment I advised him that I was given a preliminary diagnosis of eagle syndrome. He replied, 'what's that?' Then proceeded to try to secretly Google it on his phone. He asked me to turn my head left and right then said, 'looks good to me', despite my CT saying my cervical spine was misaligned. Truly disappointed. Do not see this provider!

Waisted my time
I was seen by him at the Albuquerque location today. I waited months for this appointment, waited 14 min past my appointment before being brought to a room and waited another 20 min before he came into the room. I was in a paper gown waiting for a nerve conduction test. He did a few reflex tests on my arms and legs, touched a few places and then asked me to describe why I was having the test. He determined from what I had told him that he knew that I have 'meralgia paresthetica' and that the nerve conduction test would be a waste of time. Six hours later the mychart still shows me as signed in and waiting. I have written to my PC to let her know what happened. It is a shame how long one must wait to see any specialist but even worse to be sent away without even getting the nerve test done at all and be told its a condition that there really isn't much that can be done and sent on your way.

Didn’t know what my appointment was for and seemed angry at me for that. Was also very dismissive, condescending, and uninterested.

Said I didn’t have PD, didn’t send me for tests
IT IS A PATTERN. I am shocked reading the reviews. Apparently Dr. Quintana has told many more people than just me that I did not have what I came to see him about - in my case, Parkinson’s. He was rude and angry. He had me push and pull with my hands and feet. Walk up and down the hall. Then he made his pronouncement, but sent for NO TESTS. He just said that he would not give me any medication and would tell my personal doctor that he shouldn’t give me any either. Which would have meant that I couldn’t go to work for the last year. When I asked what now, he shrugged.Thank god my Primary Care doctor believed me and not this guy. He referred me to a a different neurologist who sent me for a DAT scan. And it showed a classic image for Parkinson’s.What is wrong with this guy?

Attentive Doc, Willing to help
I had an excellent visit with Doc Quintana. I had actually read some of the reviews before my appointment, and must say that I don't know who some of those folks saw. I have been sick in one way or another since I was 14, so I have the ability to spot a lousy practitioner or a good one in a few minutes. My wife was present in the exam room, and he had no problem with her being there. He addressed my concerns with genuine empathy and some sympathy as well. Now, these are not necessary attributes if the care is good, but don't hurt in any way. Doctor Quintana was helpful, inquisitive, he palpated AND listened. Yes, he LISTENED. My philosophy is to always be truthful, and provide all the information I can think of, so that the practitioner has the most data I can provide, and hopefully, this helps them do their job. Listen, people, when you go to the Doc, why not give them all the info you can, otherwise WHY ARE YOU THERE? I would, and will recommend this Doc to any who ask. Thanks, DOC!

The Worst Experience I've had with a Provider
Arrogant and dismissive in our conversation. Acted as if I wasted his time.Excluding personal information, he was adamant I did not have what I stated to have. I asked why he thought that and he didn't reply, he just stated again while on his way to the door then left, just like that. I was kind of shocked by how arrogant and condescending he was and left the area not knowing how to feel.I've been suffering for more than a year and waited for a very long time for an appointment. To be shrugged off in such a manner was appalling. I also carefully researched my condition and looked at testimonials of other people going through the same thing, hence why I asked why he believes I don't have it as well as other avenues I could take. I just want answers and to be treated so dismissively is frustrating. I also filed a complaint with the hospital. I have never met a doctor who was so arrogant and awful in his manner, words cannot express my anger and disappointment at my treatment.

Dr. Quintana seems to be very angry. I was upset because my Mom joined me for the appointment, and he made her cry. Plus, he was mad at us because we didn't understand the appointment policy, but we never knew about it. He is not a nice doctor.
