As a retired Surgical Technician of 18 yrs, I consider myself to be a good judge of character. Dr. Kiely is treating my complex medical issues that some other specialists are unwilling to surgically tackle. I find Dr. Kiely, to be stellar in his field of colorectal surgery. He is very kind, compassionate, honest, a good listener & straight forward. His gentle demeanor helps you feel comfortable in a otherwise uncomfortable situation. Dr. Kiely has earned my complete trust and respect. I highly recommend him for all your colorectal needs. Bonnie Pacholski Bonnie Pacholski - February 25, 2024

In my search to locate Dr. Kiely, since he is no longer with Columbia-Presbyterian, I felt compelled to write a review following my noting of the unfavorable ratings on Dr. Kiely. After an awful experience and the sub-standard medical care provided by the highly unethical Dr. Rebecca Levine (who is with Montefiore Medical Group), I researched extensively to find a doctor who would properly attend to me. Dr. Kiely was that person. In order to be attended to by Dr. Kiely, I left Montefiore and went with Westmed. Unlike, Rebecca Levine, Dr. Kiely took his time to properly attend to me and was comprehensive in his examination and course of medical care. Because of Dr Levine’s inaccurate diagnosis and improper care, my life was altered by increased frequencies of fecal incontinence. Dr. Kiely’s thoroughness in his care and course of action, prior to requisite surgery, demonstrated the outstanding physician that he is. It is because of Dr. Kiely, I was able to regain my quality of life.

Not impressed. I was sent to Dr. Kiely as a second opinion by the Chairman Dr. Kiran and thought he had no fund of knowledge and a dismissive bedside manner. I had no confidence in his surgery plan. I called back to ask a question after doing my homework and cannot get a call back from this doctor. Dr. Kiely is very busy I am told. Best of luck to those he is busy with.
