Negative experience
I came in with a malleolar fracture and asked about an MRI before surgery, Dr Vossler said unnecessary. Two weeks after surgery I'm instructed to begin slowly weight bearing and something didn't feel right. I continued my follow ups and was not progressing quickly out of crutches. 8 weeks later I was referred to physical therapy. I continue my follow ups and continue feeling immense pain on the inside of my foot. 8 months later I still can't walk well and he finally agrees to an MRI. In it he noticed a deltoid ligament tear. I finally did myself a favor and got a second opinion. The screw head in my ankle is sticking out causing pain but turns out I also have three different ligament tears and am scheduled for a second surgery. Dr Vossler was nice and I wanted to give him a chance at helping my foot heal but I regret having gone to him altogether now because it's been almost 10 months of unnecessary pain I've had to deal with which has slowed down my productivity and physical wellbein

Ankle Follow-up Appointment
My visit was great and the staff was very caring of my care as well as my needs. Dr. Vosseller explained in detail my procedure as well as what is expected of me to make recovery less painful and the healing process smooth. Thank You Dr. Vossler and Staff for putting my mind at ease.

I had ankle fusion when dr Vosseler was at Columbia in New York . After one year ankle collapsed. All the while he told me everything was good. Now I have a crooked ankle worse then before. He then left Columbia and went to Florida. Not a successful surgery. Thanks dr Vosseler

I saw him because he was recommended to me by someone he operated on. I sprained my ankle several times I did physical therapy once a week because I worked a brutal job and couldn't do more. But I did it once a week for six months. I sprained my ankle even while doing it. He insisted that I needed to just keep doing exercises. I am no longer in new york and he is in Florida, but I am going to have an ankle reconstructive surgery since his diagnosis was different than what the mri I did in my current location was. He did not even suggest I do an MRI. DO NOT go to him. I literally am in the process of figuring out how to complete 18 credits this semester and next semester and recover from surgery and I need a job because I don't even have financial aid. I understand the idea of pushing off surgery but I keep straining my ankle you don't care to do an mri to see whats going on? What the heck? He rushed the appointment.

Dr. Vosseller operated on my Right Ankle in 2017 and completely messed up my foot! he left me with an injured nerve during the procedure and absolutely no help after the surgery. I am in constant pain and a lot worse than prior to this surgery. Saw him couple of times afterwards and he has done nothing to address my pain.

I just wanted to take a second to say how grateful I am to Dr. Vosseller and Columbia Orthopedics. Dr. Vosseller put two plates in my right foot in February and the pain is now completely relieved at the end of June. Nothing short of a miracle. His staff, the hospital staff, and all of the nurses throughout this process have been amazing. It was easy, comforting, stress-free, and life-changing. Also, it was such a smooth process unlike any other medical procedure I’ve had in NY. Kudos Columbia for streamlining this process so Dr. Vosseller could do what he does best- fix my foot! Thank you Dr. Vosseller and all of Columbia Orthopedics!

My foot problem is rare and complicated. Dr. Vosseller showed interest and time to understand my problem and gave his suggestion for surgery. I was really pleased with his solution and wanted to go for a surgery. However, as he is moving to his hometown I will not be able to have the surgery done by him.

I sought out a doctor close to home at Columbia/Presbyterian uptown in Washington Heights and found Dr. Vosseller. He was kind and respectful, and overall very personable. I had a broken toe tip from a accident awhile back and it healed badly. He explained it would be a simple surgery to remove the broken tip and a couple of weeks bandaged. Two weeks later got the stiches out and am back in sneakers. All of the staff I dealt with were friendly, professional and respectful. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Vosseller has been a fantastic surgeon. He was straight forward when I asked the best way to pain-free after 9 mos of PT & pain. Surgery was my best option. His skill is obvious but he also answered all of my questions and has been attentive during the months post-op - including now at 8 mos out!

Excellent surgeon! My son broke his tibia (shinbone near ankle) bone and it healed flawlessly. My son followed strict orders to rest with no pressure on left foot/leg for 6 weeks, he’s now in physical therapy doing extremely well. We Highly recommend Dr. Vosseller and his staff/office

I've had issues with my ankle area and plantar fasciitis for a while, and Dr. Vosseller was the recommended surgeon when all other remedies failed. I like that he readily explains things, though at times I feel a bit rushed. What sets his office apart, though, is his staff. His nurse (Tess) and his medical assistant (Bibi) make every visit a joy. They are kind and warm and funny and genuinely care for patients.

Upon meeting Dr. Vosseller, for an appointment that I had made hours prior, he discussed ankle injuries in general and then the specifics of my injury. He thoroughly explained my Xray and the best course of action to fix my badly damaged ankle. He was very attentive and personable. He answered my many questions and made me feel comfortable with the medical plan for my surgery. At each and every follow up visit, he spent time to address my concerns. That attention was beyond appreciated.
