Dr. Leong is the best doctor ever!

I am totally satisfied with my primary doctor K. Leong (provider), who acts with professionalism and courtesy every time. However, I had issues with the nurse [staff name removed], regarding how thorough her job should be.

I met with the Doctor (for the first time) and her intern and another intern Dr and her AI recording phone. Too many "people" in the room for a first visit. How am I supposed to establish care and trust in this environment? The choice of how many Drs are in the room shouldn't be put upon the patient the moment they get in the room. Patients should be able to opt in/out prior to the appt re: the number of doctors they are seeing.

It takes a very long time to become a new patient but with Dr J Leong it was well worth it.

There was a great deal of confusion as to what I was there for physical v follow up. I was told by the nurse that I was there for a physical but the appointment was made as a follow up to my fainting spell. The nurse asked if I wanted a pap smear and I told her I didn't think I was of the age to receive them anymore. She said she would check but did not follow up. The doctor agreed that I was there for follow up and we discussed postponing a physical until my next appointment. When I checked out I was told my next appointment was a follow up to tests ordered with no physical. The receptionist said twice that she would call me later in the day regarding the physical after talking to the doctor. There was no follow up on that. She did reassure me that every appointment was 60 minutes so a physical could likely be performed. I left feeling very agitated by all the confusion.Thank you for asking about my experience. Everyone was very kind, it was just very confusing.

Dr. Leong has been amazing in helping me to improve my health. I can't imagine how I would be now if she has not been in my life helping me as my medical provider. I appreciate her and all of her staff. They have been excellent.

Great experience at the office overall, but the earliest appointments I could book were 3 months out and the doctor is still accepting new patients.

Dr LEONG was absolutely incredible... she listened to everything I had to say and believed me where previous doctors hadn't. I am now getting monitored and tested for symptoms and will hopefully find an answer because of her.

Dr Leong spent a lot of time explaining my concerns and how I should approach the process of healing and improving my health. She was very friendly, supportive and thorough. Great appointment. (patient name removed)

I found Dr. Leong to be very knowledgeable, very kind, and easy to communicate with, and I thought the staff at Susan Samueli were excellent. Everyone was friendly, and knowledgeable, and caring. I'm very impressed with the entire operation.

Dr. Leong is the only reason I continue with UCI She is a knowledgeable and always listens to your health issues and never makes you feel like she's in a hurry. I have MD and Dr. Leong is well trained in working with me thru this disease. I do not see any other physicians at UCI as they did not have the understanding or knowledge I felt I needed in a physician. The physicians were always in a hurry and more interested in teaching their students .Uci can be great but needs changes.
