Unpleasantly Surprised!
Made an appointment to see Dr. Seymour based on his credentials. Shockingly surprised that he as a specialist in Rheumatology made a pretty sound presumptive diagnosis based upon my presentation that day, the superficiality of my appearance that day and the feedback of what i was attempting to convey or defend. When I have ‘these’ kind-of-relapses that i described, i attempted to share my experiences, symptoms and Truth. My symptoms are similar to that of Sorgrens, or possibly Lupus—but I do not know. He did a superficial ‘look-over’ (scan) of my body & a BRIEF question & answer, Dr Seymour did not think that my ‘symptoms’ were Rheumatology-related per-say, but he was willing to run a FEW ‘standard’ tests after I ADVOCATED for myself. Dr. Seymour was not willing to THINK or TREAT-outside the box! He did NOT LISTEN to me, pertaining to my Rheumatology-related concerns & symptoms, and the notion—a correlation between my neurological spinal, bladder, eye, muscle, female etc. dysfunction.

A Great Partner in Care
After 5 months of debilitating pain with no answers from an Orthopedic or Neurologist, I was finally referred to a Rheumatologist. OSU recommended Columbus Arthritis since they weren't taking new patients at the time. I am so happy I've found Dr. Seymour, he's a blessing. During my first office visit, he read through the previous Dr. notes and tests I'd already done so we didn't need to repeat them. He gave me a booklet on Fibromyalgia when he diagnosed me and I read it front to back. It was packed full of different ways to cope with and manage the illness (new medications, lifestyle changes, realistic expectations). I've seen him a few times in person, and have communicated via phone and staff about my progress and medications. We have candid conversations about my meds, if an increase would help; if we should discontinue on others. I have a say in my care and I trust him to be my health partner on the fibro journey. - Thank you So Much, Dr. Seymour.

I came to you a year ago with Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, & bursitis. You diagnosed me. But sent me on my merry way. No Treatment at all. I had told you , that Dr. Richardson has diagnose me with the Arthritis in my back. 3 surgeries, I told you about my Celiac, IBS which deals with a lot of inflammation. NOTHING. so NO I will not see DR. SEYMORE FOR ANYTHING.
