Dr. Jacqueline Sloan, MD

I was compelled to write a review because my experience could not have been more different than the person who wrote the one review here. My son has been a patient at this practice for at least two years now and I have never had a bad experience. The office staff is always friendly as are the doctors and nurses. They are compassionate and patient. Dr. Sloan was my son's pediatrician until she recently left the practice to move out of state. She was warm, patient, helpful, and offered great advice. She never made us feel rushed or judged. My son loved her and we were sad to see her go.

My two children have been receiving "care" at this office for the past 4 years. The administrative staff is rude, short, and generally unhelpful with anything outside of them telling you what works for them. Most of the time they just refer you to pm pediatrics and treat that office as their overflow. The office manager stonewalls any attempt at communication to anyone her superior. Dr Sloan herself can be rude but is constantly defensive in any questioning of her treatment. For example Dr Sloan prescribed a medication to my son for a year that has now been linked to causing cancers. Neither Dr Sloan nor her office tracks the current removal of medications by the FDA, and when asked why they do not she became irate, verbally abusive, and hung up the phone. Now more than ever medical professionals and members of the community need to have trust. Simsbury Pediatrics and Dr Sloan are not that.
