I was worried about my visit after reading reviews, but my experience with him was great. He is clearly intelligent, thorough in examinations and ordered tests that were needed and made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered. He had a pleasant personality and was kind and caring. I had a very ill mannered neurologist in my home state and came to the KY clinic to see Dr. A- a specialist in MS and I am so happy I did and look forward to my next appointment to get some answers.

I was diagnosed with MS at Mayo clinic and went to him for his opinion and he talked about himself the whole time. The opinion of the MRI technician was a lot different than his. He told me I don't have a single thing wrong with me. I am still confused about what is wrong with me.

I went to him after receiving a diagnosis for a neurological condition; he was the first doctor to tell me it was MS (the others did even tell me) he also explained what it was and even gave me resources for more information (with everything I could possibly want to know.) He then told me about himself, and clearly explained the treatment options and their effects, and his recommendation for it. We decided on a course and he told me of the outlook of my condition, which while depressing was important information. Overall I had a wonderful visit (and subsequent visits), and would recommend him.

Dr. Avasarala is arrogant and uncaring. I was hospitalized for nearly a week under his care. He continuously ignored my symptoms, and discharged me in the same pain and with the same symptoms that brought me to the hospital in the first place. He also wouldn't even write me an excuse to return to work at a later date. I had to return to work the next day, despite being so off-balance that I couldn't walk or drive. I have never felt so mistreated in my life. With my neurological condition, it's likely I will have multiple hospitalizations at this institution in the future. One thing is for sure, however: Dr. Avasarala will not be part of my care team.

Went in for him to read mri. He couldn't open disc but wouldn't read detailed info and images my doctor sent. Waste of time if you don't have MS.

Dr. Avasarala told me more about himself than my condition. He disregarded some symptoms I was having and dismissed me as being misdiagnosed. He did not think I should have a follow up and I have been treated for MS for almost 20 years. More interested in computer.. He is proud of himself.
