I would recommend Dr. Iyengar without hesitation.
I have been seeing Dr. Iyengar for about 9 mo. He performed a right shoulder replacement and we have had several follow-up visits. Everything about the procedure and subsequent care went extremely well and I am continuing the recovery process.

Review for a Rt shoulder total reverse replacement
Luckily my wife and I sought a second opinion for a damaged shoulder that has been a severe problem for over 15 years. We were fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr. Iyengar. This total reverse shoulder replacement has proved to be exceptional and valuable. Dr. Iyengar performed the surgery and referred me to Physical Therapy which has also proved exceptional.Anyone considering shoulder repair should definitely consider requesting a referral to Dr. Iyengar from their primary physician. We are greatly appreciative of the newest technology and our choice of surgeon. Many thanks to all the wonderful personnel who assisted in this scenario.

An awesome doctor
I went to see Dr. Iyengar for pain in my left shoulder. I had surgery performed on that shoulder at another medical facility about 8 years ago and was not happy about the outcome of that surgery. Dr. Iyengar listened to my concerns and is taking a very conservative approach to treat my shoulder pain. I am extremely confident that I will have a much better outcome from his treatment plan.

Shoulder Surgery Was Successful!
In 2016, I injured my shoulder and was diagnosed with partial torn rotator cuff. I went to a few PT sessions and the pain went away. In 2019, the shoulder pain came back and PT sessions did not help this time.In 2022, the pain was getting worst and I needed to see a specialist. I did some review for orthopedic surgeons specifically specializing in shoulder and found Dr. Iyengar. Although he was 90 minutes away, I decided to see him because of the good review others left for him.First appointment, Dr inspected my shoulder and he suggested I get another MRI.Second appointment, Dr reviewed the MRI and suggested for me to go do the orthoscopic surgery for my shoulder and explained the benefits.Day of surgery, everything went well and I was done in 2 hours. Dr suggested I do PT immediately, no later than a week.It took 10 months (Twice a week) PT sessions for my shoulder to get back 90% mobility and strength. Summary: Dr. Iyengar is the best doctor! I highly recommend!

Great Experience
Dr. Iyengar performed surgery to repair a torn tendon and rotator cuff on my left shoulder in November of 2022. I am happy to report that as of November 2023 I am pain free and able to use my left arm without any problems.

Dr. Iyengar must be at the top of his profession
Dr. Iyengar performed reverse shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. Eight weeks after the surgery I can tell a few things about the good doctor. He's technically a highly skilled surgeon who under promised and over delivered. He built a high level of trust early in process and the trust I now in his judgement based on the outcome is of the highest order. I was pain free a few days after the surgery and all feeling returned after the nerve block wore off. I followed all of Dr. Iyengar instructions to the letter and followed all of the rehab guidelines. The results surpassed my highest exceptions. He has instilled a strong confidence in me that the best is yet to come. In closing, Dr. Iyengar is highly skilled, thoughtful, great listener, has a wonderful team but what sets him apart and defines him is his humility and gentle confidence. He was an answer to prayer for me and I am blessed that he is my doctor.

Absolutely the best!
He is honest and knowledgeable and ensures you understand the surgery and process. Reviews your X-rays to point out what needs correcting and why. Great experience with Dr. Iyengar and Alpine team!
Dr. Iyengar has worked with me for the past year, to address long standing shoulder issues, clearly explaining my options available to me. The options included a PRP injection, which helped in the short term, but surgery was ultimately required. Dr. Iyengar, the Alpine support team, and the surgery center team have been top notch thus far, getting me on the road to recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar to help with new or old shoulder injuries.

Straight to the point
I seen Dr. Iyengar about a mobility issue I had with my right elbow. We went over the imaging and we discussed multiple ways to treat the problem. The information he provided made me feel confident in making a decision. I would recommend Dr. Iyengar to anyone with elbow or shoulder issues.

Excellent shoulder surgeon
My wife was referred to Alpine Orthopaedic for extreme chronic shoulder pain in both shoulders that was getting worse. At Alpine, Dr. Iyengar reviewed the imaging and found significant deterioration in her shoulder joints. He performed surgery replacing the existing joints with metal ones, reversing the ball and socket to provide better stability. It's been a year now and the pain is gone and the joints function well. We couldn't be happier. Working with Dr Iyengar has been a pleasure. His bedside manner is very good, and he has been precise in detailing what the issues were and what he was doing. I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

I had a reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Iyengar explained the procedure and gave me printed instructions on how to get ready for the surgery. Everything went as planned. He sent me home with post op info. I never had much pain and now my shoulder works perfectly. He is a very kind and caring doctor.

Reverse shoulder replacement April of 2022
I was impressed with all my visits being on time which is very unusual these days The office was very neat and clean and the staff very nice and professional Dr.Iyengar is a very nice and reassuring doctor with excellent skill after the surgery i saw my X-ray and it is amazing how perfectly the implant fit with the same margin on each side of the bone. He also seem to be up on the latest technique also using GPS so the placement is perfect. At Alpine I would have Doctor Lyengar do my surgery again my results were at about 95% what I had before the surgery after 4 months.

Dr. Iyengar is a blessing
21 years ago I had shoulder surgery by a world class Surgeon who was used by the 49ers football team. That Doctor has long retired. Recently when I needed a shoulder replacement, I looked for another World Class Surgeon. I found that in Dr. Iyengar. Extremely Capable, Professional, Confident, Personable, Kind and uses cutting edge technology. Truly an Amazing Surgeon and Person.
