Injections to larynx
Dr. Moore administered injections to my husband’s larynx last February/March for a chronic, tenacious cough. At no time did she make clear to my husband and me the inherent risks in light of his many health issues which included multiple aspirational pneumonias, GI surgeries, and recurrent reflux. 3 days after the injection, my husband lost his voice, and aspirated into his lungs, causing pneumonia and sepsis. Damage to his lungs has been so severe that he now has advanced, progressive pulmonary fibrosis and is on oxygen 24/7.

She came into the exam room and asked me what I wanted from her. She did not take any kind of medical history from me as to my condition (spasmodic dysphonia), said I probably knew more than she did, and said she could order the usual ineffective treatments but that was up to me. I don't think I've ever been blown off by a doctor as directly as I was by this woman. She doesn't seem to be INTERESTED in a condition like mine, so what could she possibly teach about it? Thumbs down, VCU.

Dr. Moore is intelligent, knowledgable and listens to your concerns. She is amazing at her job, but her scheduling staff is completely unprofessional. They will reschedule your appointment without telling you and arbitrarily assign you appointments you can't make. This results in losing your slot, and being pushed to later and later appointments. I am switching ENT's because I cannot get the consistent care I need for my profession.
