Dr. Mahdavian saved my life.
I had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. Dr. Mahdavian quickly got me into surgery, because in my case, time was critical. In my opinion, this was perfect laparoscopic surgery. I will always be grateful for his amazing skill and kindness. This was a "close call". My recovery has been very very good.

Dr. Jamal Mahdavian has performed two surgeries for me - a gall bladder in 2010 and recently a colon resection. He went out of his way to fit me into a tight schedule and spent a great deal of time both in the office and the hospital explaining the procedure, the causes, the consequences and the recovery. I am indebted to him and his wonderful staff.

Hes the best period. Had an issue that noone else would touch it. He stepped up and handled it for me. I am still okay 5+ years later.

Awful office staff. They are so rude and argue with you. Just give me the info I need. Stop arguing with me about info supposedly not requested or what the downstairs or upstairs or other office staff said. Horrible office.

Dr. Mahdavian operated on my mother on Oct. 5, '16. He told her he was removing her gallbladder with no explanation as to why. Afterward, she had 4 infections without any diagnostic testing to find out why the infections continued or why she was draining bile & infectious fluids from her abdomen for 4 months. At Northern Duchess Hosp. in Feb. '17, an emergency CT scan revealed an abscess & that only a small part of the gallbladder was originally removed. She now needs surgery to remove it.

Dr. Mahdavian made me feel confidant immediately from the initial diagnoses in the emergency room. When he came to release me he was very informative about what he did in the surgery and took the time to call my son who lives in Oklahoma, after the surgery to tell him I was doing fine. All in all a great experience. This coming from a person who has a great fear of doctors and hospitals.
