We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Dr. Barton does not offer standard of care! He is a part time doctor who withholds information. He is condescending, he refuses to speak to family members, and he does not keep up with medical research. I am pleading with people to go elsewhere. There are much better doctors in the Birmingham area who are so much more capable and caring.

Dr. Barton trained me as a hematologist. He left a lasting impact on me as I now practice as a hematologist and oncologist. He was the most thorough and professional physician in caring for his patients. I would not ever hesitate to have him as MY doctor if I ever had cancer or a blood disorder. Tom B.

I can't imagine anyone NOT loving Dr. Barton. He spent so much time explaining my husband's condition, and welcomed any and all questions we had. He was relaxed and never made us feel rushed or unimportant. I highly recommend this kind and knowledgeable doctor!

** This review was deleted** I would never go to this doctor. He treated my dad, who had cancer, horribly. The worst bedside manner I've ever seen. He also put off treatment for too long, telling us that we needed to wait, and when we got a second opinion from both the Mayo Clinic and Northside Hospital, they said he should have had a bone marrow transplant years ago. His chance of survival was 30% when he finally got the transplant and he ended up passing away.
