Dr. James Bossmann, MD

Dr. Bossmann and I didn’t jive super well initially, and I should have taken that as a sign. I stuck to the treatment plan for 2 years and had adverse reactions to the medication prescribed, with no warning, and he did not care that I had had a seizure like event and worsening anxiety. I have bipolar, PTSD, anxiety and tried to talk about treatment options, but the only thing he could offer me did not work and wouldn’t discuss other options. If you are looking for an evaluation regarding ADHD or Autism I would look for another provider. You MUST have some experience of your own to be able to work with him, but he’s superficially nice. My time with Dr. Bossmann has resulted in trauma which I am now working with a therapist to get through, I just wish I hadn’t subjected myself to it, and I wish he didn’t traumatize me.

Dr. Bossman has a calming charm that sets the atmosphere as a serene and safe and caring place to connect with someone who is intellectually gifted, curious about your circumstances, and emotionally intelligent. Some providers you can see clearly when they run people through the assembly line, don't care, and are there to get paid, but Dr. Bossman isn't anything like that. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and abilities and that he is a genuine person who wants what is good in the world and for his patients. He has a brilliant mind that is able to take complex emotional situations, relate them to mental health issues, connect all the pieces together with his superior wisdom, and figure out the best treatment plan that works for the patient and their needs. He will be in your corner. You feel that right away.
