Kind and considerate
I've been a patient for 15 years and he genuinely cares. He wants to help people feel better and is very attentive.

Dr. Choi gives the least amount of attention possible in order to make a diagnosis and provide a prescription. When I felt that my medication was no longer effective, he simply prescribed a larger dose - one that I feel is unsafe based on my research and consultations with other physicians.

Felt very comfortable at this office and will be returning. This is a rarity for me as it can be hard to even leave the house at times

He met with me for the first time for a total of 15 minutes. I spoke about my feelings of depression for about 5 min. He asked me very few questions. The rest of the time he explained to me that he thinks I am Bipolar. I've never experienced mania and have a strong family history of clinical depression. He wrote me a prescription for an antipsychotic and said "I'll see you in 3 months." Steer clear of this physician. He has no clue and just wants to push pills without any physical or psychological testing. HUGE RED FLAG!

Very little availability, and when he does actually see you he's very patronizing and will talk over you the entire session. Refuses to listen, and is just plain rude at times. Doesn't seem like he knows what he is actually talking about, appointments usually last around 5 minutes.

I cannot believe this so call doctor has not been reported to the Medical Board. I left work and drove one hour to see him. From the very beginning, he was sarcastic. I briefly talked to him and then he said he doesn't want to start new with me, that it is his professional opinion I should go back to where I went years ago. I was appalled. I have never seen a health care provider treat a patient that way and I have been a nurse for 14 years. I wanted a psychiatrist that was closer to my home.

Does not listen. Obvious he made a decision before meeting or even asking a question. A waste of time, money and does not help or care to help his patient. Not recommended.

I love Dr. Choi! I have been seeing him for years and never once have I felt as though he didn't listen to or address my concerns. His practice has always worked with me (refills, co payment, scheduling). I have NEVER felt as though he was rushing me and he has NEVER been nasty! I moved to another state for three years and moved back to Maryland. Dr. Choi and his practice took me back w/o any questions or problems.

I understand a lot of the comments about those who felt like their voices were not heard. I also experienced that after my first appointment. "How can someone make a diagnosis in 15 min without my complete medical history?" After time, I was able to build a level of trust with Dr. Choi and I feel he is very receptive of my questions and concerns. I can't speak for everyone but I think the source of my initial frustration was how this field of medicine operated vs my misguided perceptions.

This so called Dr. should leave the field of practice. He doesn't listen and will not stand up for his own patience. Doesn't even read or listen to therapists/counselors notes or return their phone calls, etc... A complete waste of time.

He is arrogant and nasty. He doesn't care about anyone other than himself, and is especially nasty to women and anyone with a trauma history. He yells at patients often, and frequently spends 5 minute or less with someone but charges them for a 15 minute appointment. Many people have bad experiences with him but are afraid to speak out or file formal complaint because he can be intimidating and full of rage.

Dr. Choi was a terrible experience, very aregant, rude by constantly interuping. He sure doesn't help everyone, he is only just a script writer. So if that is all you need then he is your man. What ever happen to a real Psychiatrist, who had understanding, compassion and used to help mentally ill people? He needs to go back to school for better manners!
