I’ve seen Dr Compton for the past 30 years and trust his judgement completely. He is practical, does not hesitate to refer to a specialist if needed, and takes the time to explain things. His office staff is great as well.

Anytime I call or come in for my office visits the staff, Dr. Compton and PA's are very attentive to my needs and concerns. They are very good at giving a very quick response and are very friendly. Highly recommend this practice if you are looking for the Best. Carol the office manager should definitely be complimented as well for steering the ship she does an awesome job.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Compton’s for over 20 years. My parents were also patients of his. Dr. Compton never rushes you, takes time to answer any questions or concerns you have and discusses various options for you. If you need a referral to a specialist, I have been pleased with the specialist as well. His entire staff is welcoming, helpful and caring. You can always call the office with a general question or a request that Dr. Compton himself return your call. You will hear back from him the same day. If you are looking for a new physician, consider Dr. Compton, they are accepting new patients.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Compton for about eight years. We have been extremely satisfied with his care for our medical needs. He actually listens to us! We have never felt rushed during an appointment. He 3xplains all medications and required tests. The office staff is just as attentive and polite. My husband and I have been going for our health check ups to Dr. James Compton in St. Louis for many years. Dr. Compton is a very caring doctor. He takes his time with his patients. He makes you feel that he is doing everything he can to keep you as healthy as possible. If you have to take any medications, he makes sure that they do work well with any other medications you might be taking. If he finds the need to send you to another specialist for further diagnosis, Dr. Compton knows the very best doctors for the job. If perhaps you might need to call Dr. Compton for advice, he will always get back to you in a timely manner. Dr. Compton's staff is always friendly and very helpful. He has two very knowledgeable physician assistants on his staff. My husband is 88 years old. He is one of Dr. Compton's first patients, and I do believe that my husband's excellent health is do in a large part to Dr. Compton's excellent care.

From start to finish, a very pleasant experience. The staff is friendly, efficient and reassuring. Dr. Compton takes the time to listen, answers questions and spends an appropriate amount of time to put the patient at ease. Very solicitous.

Never saw the doctor at all. Paid the bill (much higher than expected) but they failed to document the payment. I was hounded for payment - they would not believe the evidence that I had paid. I will not go back there.

Dr. Compton is amazing! My mom was feeling terrible and he had her come in for an appointment right away, prescribed her a single medication and by the next day she was feeling 100% herself again! We avoided an expensive emergency room visit and didn't have to go to an urgent care. Everyone in the office is so accommodating and friendly. Would recommend Dr. Compton 1000%!

I love going to Dr. Compton. He always takes time to listen and help in any way possible. I feel like he really cares. It’s hard to find doctors like him. Dr Compton has made moving to St. Louis so much better by finding the best doctor.

Dr. Compton has been my doctor for over 25 years. I've always appreciated his compassionate care.

He saved my Dad's life! Dad went to St Anthony's with chest pain. They consulted a GI specialist & added protonix. Sent him home. Dad still had chest pains so we called Compton again. Dr Compton was pissed. He called st A's, complained, then sent Dad straight back to the hospital. Next day dad had a quadruple bypass. Dr Compton saved my Dad's life! I'll never forget this.

Office STAFF ,RUDE, & LIE. WORST place ever, don't waste your time.

Last three office visits it took over an hour after the scheduled appointment time before we were seen. Don't schedule for appointments you can't keep
