Dr. Eby, has been great in treating my chronic back pain. He takes his time and explains things such as imaging results and offers pain treatments that will help you maintain your daily life style. He is very kind and caring and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for relief from pain. His staff is also wonderful.

A prime example of what's wrong with healthcare
I scheduled an appointment to diagnose pain in my lower back. The woman who answered the phone was very curt, almost to a point of being rude. When I arrived, the same woman who answered the phone also had me fill out paperwork. Again, she came across as very curt, like I was annoying her because I dared to interrupt her conversation with her coworkers about whatever was going on in her personal life.Next, Dr. Eby's nurse. I was very short and to the point when answering questions but it felt like she was either overworked or too busy to listen while taking notes. I could barely get an answer out before she would blurt out the next question. Now, on to Dr. Eby. He would even reveal the details of my x-ray without me first asking. Tried to put me on narcotics and then get a MRI so he could stick an epidural in my spine.Everything he suggested was about treating the pain. Nothing about treating the cause. More concerned about bilking my insurance than helping.

Steer Clear
I am 49 years old and was treated by Dr. Eby for the past three months for disabling disc displacement (bulg) and lumbar stenosis. After months of treatment with no success, along with multiple rounds of steroid injections, I chose to get a second opinion from a second Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons given that my symptoms had not improved. This Surgeon was very informative on the reasons why the existing course of treatment might not have not worked - and recommended that we discuss with Dr. Eby to see if he concurred or had an alternative opinion. My wife, who is a nurse, and I scheduled an appointment with Dr Eby for a consultation to see what the next steps might be. Upon walking into the room, he expressed to my wife and I that he “does not know this surgeon” (who provided the second opinion) and “does not care” about what was said. I expressed that I had entrusted my treatment to him for the past three months and could not understand his unwillingness as a medical professional to ta

He treated my 71 year old mother for her back pain she was given a total of 3 epidural shots and on the last shot he hit her sciatic nerve ?? Called us back the next week and told us there was nothing else he could do for her. I’m sure he wouldn’t want someone doing his mother that way. So no I would not recommend him ??????

Dr. Eby is caring, knowledgeable, competent, gentle and takes time with his patients. He listened to all of my concerns and didn't rush me through my visits. I had 5+ months of NO PAIN from spinal stenosis after epidurals, personally administered by Dr. Eby.

Callous and condescending. His diagnosis and course of treatment may be in line with what most others would do, but his discussion with us was uncalled for and demeaning. There are tactful, concerned ways to tell a patient and their family that you can't help them. He evidently does not possess the ability to do that part of the hypocratic oath to do no harm.
