Dr. James Flynn, MD

Dr Flynn is a kind, professional and intelligent doctor who has a genuine concern for his patients. I have had nothing but good experiences each time I have visited his office, and would not hesitate to recommend him. He is a great listener, explains matters in detail, and even gives painless injections!

Dr Flynn was knowledgeable, skilled and listened to me. Answered my many questions. Patiently explained my choices and expected outcome of each. I had surgery. Well done. Very little scarring. Pain was well managed. Everyone at the office was helpful and followed up my questions. All healed now. Did the recommended rehab. Very good mobility after 6 months, negligible pain unless I overdo it. He is very good. X-rays show my ankle bone is straight and healed.

From the first visit over 20 years ago, I was impressed by his sincere and personal interest in me and my husband, and his compassionate and knowledgeable approach to our situation. When he’s with you, he’s WITH YOU! His skills as a surgeon in treating many issues for me and my husband are above the norm. His approach has always been surgery as the last option, and only if there is no other choice. I trust him implicitly. I will never go to any one else. If it’s below the knee, he’s my guy!

Dr Flynn had a mess when he started with my feet! He has done an FHL tendon transfer after cleaning out a mess in that foot, a tarsal tunnel release on both feet, and repairs of crushed ankle and torn peroneal tendons. He did all these corrections after I had a very horrible Dr. Who should not be practicing! He took me from barely walking to now walking with minor pain. Because of this other Dr I have lived a life of severe pain. It’s been a huge transformation and I can’t say thank you enough! I also like that he respects my spiritual beliefs and is willing to pray with me. This shows me he is a man of character!

What stood out was his care for his patients. He listens first and then treats the problem. I am now pain free without surgery. While he is an excellent physician he is not above helping me with putting on my shoes and socks!

Dr. Flynn takes the time to explain the options and possible outcomes. He cares deeply for each patient. I have had multiple surgeries performed by him. I will always go to him for my ankle problems.

Dr. Flynn and his staff are so caring, kind, and supportive. My surgery took just a little bit longer than expected but it was because Dr. Flynn wanted to make sure he was able to get it all taken care of so I could get back to walking without pain. I highly recommend Dr. Flynn and SBO. They are wonderful!!

Dr. Flynn is amazingly knowledgeable, thorough, and thoughtful. He and his staff take whatever time is needed to address any and all concerns and questions. I would highly recommend them!

He introduced himself and we talked a little about why I was sent to him from my spine Doctor. We did discuss what might be needed to be done to correct my nerve problems below my knee and in my ankle area. He explained what he would do during surgery to both areasand stressed that the surgeries in both locations may need more surgery if the first one didn't completely fix the problem. He took the time to explain everything completely and in terms I could understand.

Dr Flynn took his time to explain ALL my options with great details. He left no doubt whatsoever. He specifically explained the root cause of the problem area and the way to be treated. You leave his office very comfortable and content with his recommendation. Awesome doctor and a very genuine person.

Dr. Flynn and his staff were excellent. I had a diagnosis and a plan to help with my foot pain. I had my surgery two weeks ago and am more than pleased with Dr. Flynn. From his bedside manner to his knowledge and skill. I highly recommend Dr. Flynn. He did surgery on my brother two years ago, he was just one of several who recommended Dr. Flynn to me.

Dr. Flynn was great in both the technical review of the issue, the diagnosis and clearly and warmly and accurately describing for me the plan to treat my foot.

He has been an amazing doctor. He is easy to talk to. He make's sure you understand what is going on . What is the best option for your care.

Dr Flynn was on call to answer my evening call after a hip surgery. He was prompt, asked knowledgeable questions, offered options, and helped me choose the right solution to my problem. He was reassuring and considerate of my situation and made me feel comfortable after talking with him. Thank you!

Dr. Flynn was more open to discussing lifestyle illuminating that prior thought surgery option would have made it impossible to do certain physical activities and came up with surgery option to solve problem allowing for physical activity and better health future in terms of physical activity. Insightful, thorough, personable, kind, compassionate, professional, detailed in explanations. Open and honest in assessment.

Dr Flynn was a blessing in the middle of a nightmare! Sunday evening, October 29, 2017, my 17 year old daughter was in a car accident. She sustained the worst possible ankle injury, an open fracture of her talus bone. My brother and sister in law are close friends with another wonderful SBO/AOA doctor, who called Dr Flynn at home. Dr Flynn was not on call, but he came in and performed the difficult surgery. He has been nothing short of amazing at every follow-up appointment. We are grateful!

Dr. James Flynn has been one of the most wonderful doctors I have every had. He is more human like than doctor like. Friendly, caring, and truly listens when you are asking questions. I would place Dr. Flynn on the top of my list of Heaven sent surgeons. His Staff is also wonderful. I am 110% satisfied with my surgery and recovery. There isn't enough stars to give him.
