Excellent! I have been seeing Dr Hall for almost two years now, after my two of my friends, brother and sister recommended him for they have been patients of him as well, and are all very happy with his care. I have never had a problem getting an appointment, and he has even stayed late on a few occasions to see me. I always enjoy going to the office to see him but love the flexibility of doing a video appointment with him through his platform which is super easy to use. I saw many psychiatrists before and was put on the wrong medications, and too many, and he got me on the right one and simplified everything. My care with him has been lifechanging!

I've been a patient of Dr. Hall's since 2003, I saw him religiously for over 12 years. I was in one of the darkest places in my life when I met him and he has helped me tremendously. Severe panic disorder, depression, overcoming drug addiction, and felt like I was living in a dream. Actually a nightmare. He got me on the right medication and was constantly managing my treatment. "Life" happened and I stopped seeing him for a while but recently re-engaged with him and I'm so glad I did. This guy is awesome! I see some reviews of people complaining about his office policies but they are all reasonable requests on his part. He just holds people accountable. He's fair and firm. I would 10000% recommend him to anyone looking to get help and get their mental health back on track.

Great Doctor.
I don’t know what the bad reviewers are talking about. Dr Hall is a great doctor. I have struggled with Bipolar 1 for years and it wasn’t till 2018 that he got me on the right dose. I finally feel stability in my life. I just wish I didn’t waste so many years of my life on wrong medications or no meds at all. He is very nice yet very professional and I would definitely recommend him.

Worst Office Staff & Policies
After 6+ years of suffering from debilitating depression, anxiety, anger, other emotional issues I finally reached out to Dr James Hall who is "in network" provider for my insurance. I called and made his 1st available appt 7 weeks away (wow). Appt was set for a Monday afternoon. James Hall has the MOST RIDICULOUS and circus-like confirmation requirements, and I missed his receptionists call-to-confirm at 8:35AM Friday morning. When I called their office to confirm at 2:10pm, I was told she had already cancelled my appt for Monday (WHAT!) and with the most callous, cold, sarcastic tone she said, and I quote, "Mmm-hmmm, your appt was cancelled, so you can go ahead and contact your insurance to find another provider." *Oh My God!* I have been in so much pain and thought someone was going to finally help me! Not add to my suffering. Left in total shock/disbelief at the unprofessionalism of a "mental healthcare" provider! I waited 7 weeks to be thrown away like I didn't matter. Shameful.

I called with over 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. The office said they had not received the call, even though my phone records showed otherwise, and terminated treatment. I get it that everyone is busy, myself included, and that is why I canceled ahead of time. Dr. Hall is too overwhelmed right now to treat his current patients professionally, and it would be best to look elsewhere.

This psychiatrist is the worst that I have ever met, and the worst I think I will ever meet. I will never return to his service. I called him during the hardest period of my life, opening up to him about things I had never told anyone. At the end of our appointment, I asked for a note for my college to get special accommodations in the classroom. He said I was just a student clamoring for attention, lying to get benefits, and wasting his time. He basically stepped on my confidence, called me a liar, and invalidated my life story. Then, I called my college's psychiatric department, relaying my story, and asked for a note. I was immediately taken care of. What a butt hole--I would never recommend. If I hadn't previously had a good psychiatrist before, I might have thought he was the standard and kept going back. That would have done horrors for my self-confidence and future. So, please keep on looking for another doctor if you really want help and care.

I have seen Dr Hall over the last months after seeing several other psychiatrists. compared to other psychiatrists, I found him much more helpful and understanding. He referred me to a therapist that I also really enjoy seeing. With my past psychiatrist I would often wait over an hour for my appointment, but with DR Hall, I have never waited longer than 5 minutes!!! I sent a few of my friends to see him as well that have also been very pleased

Every visit with Dr. Hall proved that he couldn’t care less about my wellbeing; I always felt like just another number to him. The most important thing to them was collecting my money; on multiple occasions, they charged me before billing the insurance, which resulted in me paying more than I should have. Trying to contact his office? You can just forget it. The line always goes straight to voicemail. The office staff once admitted that they intentionally don’t answer the phone. It was incredibly frustrating & upsetting to have had to play phone tag every time I needed to contact them. If you’re looking for quality care, do yourself a favor: find someone other than Dr. Hall.

I have had the worst experience with this man and office DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER WHAT. First of all he’s just a jerk most the time. He just does not care about you. He just wants your money. I have been going to him for a couple years for anxiety and depression. Once we found something that worked I just went back to my primary care to take care of it because I did not see a reason to go back every month when everything was fine. Well about a year later I was recommended to start on symbalta because I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I just called and they told me he doesn’t want to see me anymore because I went to my primary. So he’s butt hurt that I didn’t continue to pay him for just seeing him for nothing. This man is rude, inconsiderate and just not a good doctor. I am so fed up with him and his office you can barely get ahold of them. And now they are ignoring me. So I’m writing this review. I hope you see this doctor hall because change your crappy attitude.

I loved Dr Hall. He's a gentle man but solid in his practice. He was my favorite psychiatrist. I had to leave because of insurance issues. Otherwise, I would still be seeing him. Lorena, in his front office is sweet and thorough. They get 5 stars from me. ~Deborah
