I first saw Dr. Herrold about three years ago. I liked him. I recently made an appointment to see him again. Now I have difficulty remembering appointments, so I asked the receptionist if they could send me a reminder a day or two before the appointment. She said that was no problem, they did that anyway. I got a reminder several days before the appointment and I responded and confirmed the appointment. I did not get another reminder and, sure enough, I forgot the appointment. She said I needed to pay the $75 fee for missed appointments. I reminded her that I had asked for an appointment reminder a day or two before and I hadn’t got one. Now, yes, I am responsible for making my appointments. This is why I ask for the reminder a day or two in advance. I did take responsibility in that I asked for a reminder. They failed to send it. Still, they insisted I pay. He rejected me as a patient. I cannot recommend a doctor who treats his patients in this way.

Who is this guy? After two sinus surgeries and unresolved daily headaches, I was referred to Dr. Herrold to trouble shoot my headaches. He came off as being disinterested and like I was bothering him by taking up his ten minutes. When you are so tired of suffering from headaches and go to a provider in the hopes of finding a solution and they can't be bothered with you or your problem, it leaves you feeling insignificant and in more despair over the situation. The most insulting thing was when he was treating me like a drug seeker. He asked me suspiciously, how come you don't have a regular doctor? I told him point blank "because I've always been healthy and haven't needed one." He was a complete do---bag. I left there feeling like I'd been judged because I was seeking help for my headaches and a DX as to what the cause was. His bedside manner sucks. The thing is I work in the medical field so he's no anomaly. Thanks for nothing and all of your lack of concern. I still have daily h

I was referred by my primary doctor for headaches and an unusual brain MRI reading. My symptoms were not severe, and I seem to be slowly improving, but it was concerning. Dr Herrold was running way behind today, but after my long wait in the very pleasant waiting area, he was very kind, listened well, explained all sorts of things about the brain and about what could or might happen, and what he thought was or wasn't going on for me. Overall I had a very positive experience. I did not find him arrogant or rude in the least. I must say I was dreading this appt and was scared to go, after reading all the bad reviews, so I felt I must share my good experience to assure anyone else who may be in my situation. It is extremely hard to get in to see any neurologist now (esp due to COVID shutting them down for months) and so I appreciated the opportunity to have an appt, the care I received, and being reassured.

One star is for his mannerism. One of the rudest persons I’ve ever met.

Arrogant and dismissive. Refused to acknowledge my post-collision concussion, insisting it was a migraine. Interfered with my law suit. Prescribed a medication that caused a break out of boils all over my body.

Last year was my first visit with Dr. Herrold since moving to Boise. Wasn't planning on going back. Decided to go back to Dr. Herrold and very happy I did. My beef last year was he wasn't personable at all. Never felt he was interested in me at all. Never looked up to engage me. Just looked at papers. My appt this week, totally different. He was funny, engaging and spoke to me the whole time. I wanted to hug him. Highly recommend him. Very genuine and concern for me. excellent Dr.

I was in a car accident with serious head injury. I was referred by Dr treating me. Weeks trying to set up appointment with no success. I've never met Dr, only spoke to his 'staff'. First, refused to accept a verbal referral, must be in writing. Rejected, they require 'letter' explaining condition & reason I needed Dr's service. Next, they said every Dr needed to respond. Weeks later refuse service unless billing is through primary health ins. I give up! Must be a better doctor elsewhere

They are very rude and manipulative. From the get-go. Poor communication behind the counter. Not organized. Extremely condescending. And very much not patient oriented. This doctor is a fair enough guy, in and of himself. HOWEVER, The front desk is such a turn off to even communicate with. It will leave a very poor taste in your mouth.
