Dr Ireland is an arrogant, self absorbed…
I worked with Dr Ireland in a professional capacity and found him to be one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. He is self promoting, arrogant and based on his mis-treatment of me I think he ultimately is not a good person. Maybe he should get back to thinking about why he is a physician and what good he can try to do with his “power” - knowledge, experience, training etc. He left a long time impression on me as one of the most disrespectful and nasty people I’ve ever met. I held back on posting this review but think it’s got the potential to help him understand that how he treats others goes far and impacts his career as we are a word of mouth community. His staff members are adopting the same arrogance and horrible attitude as him so I would not recommend him at all.

Drop in quality.
I was going to Dr Ireland for a few years and once he split is time between being the Chief of Emergency Services to his clinic in ewa the quality has gone down hill. His office staff is run by a group of incompetent nurses who can’t answer the phone or return important phone calls, and Jamie Strapple I don’t know what her profession is but she definitely is not good at her job, her bedside manner is horrible. And of course Dr Ireland who once in a blue moon shows up at the office to only sit down with you for less than a few minutes and most times doesn’t even let you speak he ends up talking about things other than what you their to be treated with. This office was once a good place but now it would better off closing down.

Dr. Ireland has been my PCP for the last few years. He's very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He always shows concern for my health will often chat with me about my job and other stuff, so I can tell he really cares about getting to know his patients. His office staff is all so nice too and will always greet me and take care of my prescriptions or upcoming appointments without a hitch!

I’m experiencing the same problem as MSK . Each time I go it’s a different doctor with differing opinions.

Personally, I like Dr. Ireland. But based on my experience, his Ewa Beach office is staffed by mechanical, insensitive, robotic-like people who can be extremely nice but also extremely cold and rude. Dr. Ireland is hardly around to see his patients. It’s okay if he’s out doing work for the government or politics or community work. That’s noble of him. But his duty is to be there 100% for his patients. My biggest concern is the lack of continuity of care. There are many providers in his office, and patients don’t get to see the same doctor. Each time I go there for a visit, it’s always a different doctor, and sometimes they give conflicting opinions about the plan of care or the effects of medications. I really would like to talk to Dr Ireland in person to voice my grievances, my opinion about how his staff occasionally violate some of my rights as a patient. I hope this gets his attention. I can give him details of my experience.
