Dr. McAtee is very knowledgeable and I had an exceptional experience today.

I’m visiting from out-of state & a prior hip injury flared up creating severe agonizing pain. I researched orthopedic providers & selected Dr McAtee. Wow, appt within 3 days! I was in & out within 45 minutes. Quickly escorted to an exam room, given a hilarious pair of athletic shorts to wear for hip X-rays (very creative & comfortable) & back in the exam room within 10 minutes. Dr McAtee arrived right away. He greeted me professionally, diligently reviewed my info, explained Xray findings & carefully examined me while I jumped & yelped from agonizing pain. We agreed on a cortisone injection to decrease pain & inflammation. The PA & med assistant helped position me due to the pain. Dr. McAtee promptly arrived & explained the procedure. I prepared myself for another painful cortisone injection but thrilled that the experience was quick & absolutely painless!! Everyone was kind & very efficient. 24 hrs later my pain was significantly better. I highly recommend Dr. McAtee and his team!!

Appointment was on time. Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt heard and understood. There was no pressure on what I should do, either injection or hip replacement.

I had hip replacement in March 2024. I have actually only seen him once since then. I have only seen PA'S. I have had more pain than ever before. Now, I have been told that I have scoliosis and degenerative disk disease. Parts are severe. Still have not seen him. I have been through 2 sets of PT,my hip and back are so uneven that it's noticeable. Their answer, put a lift in your shoe, no difference, put another lift in. So because I have been jacked around so much, the only thing they can do is refer me to pain management. And can't get in there until end of January. I feel I have been pushed out because there wasn't a perfect ending. I am so disappointed and frustrated. My quality of life has really taken a nose dive and no one cares.

Friendliness of staff, minimal wait time, Dr McAtee answered all questions, gave explanations in detail.

Dr. McAtee did a great job on my hip two years ago and today he is working on my rotator cuff injuries. Very pleasant, helpful and encouraging.

Dr. McAtee was very professional and encouraging in my follow-up visit following surgery. He addressed my lingering concerns about increasing knee flexion such that I left the visit feeling confident in my ability to keep progressing. He also took all the time necessary to answer my questions; I never felt rushed. Really glad that he is my orthopedic surgeon.

My experience with Dr. McAtee was deeply disappointing from start to finish. The office staff who checked me in was notably rude. Before even talking with me, X-rays were ordered for my Achilles tendonitis, which seemed unnecessary and potentially costly, as X-rays typically don't provide useful information for this condition. The doctor made unprofessional comments, telling me I was abusing my body and saying he was 'wagging his finger' at me. This felt condescending and inappropriate. I have significant concerns about the prescribed treatment. Dr. McAtee recommended corticosteroids, which recent studies suggest may increase the risk of Achilles tendon rupture, which made me wonder if Dr. McAtee was up-to-date with current best practices. Overall, I left feeling unheard, disrespected, and worried about the quality of care. The doctor's approach and the staff's attitude created an unwelcoming environment. I caution others to carefully consider whether this doctor will meet their needs.

Everything went well but like all medical experiences lately…..why do we need so many staff….no wonder medical expenses are so high!

Dr. McAtee was very communicative and easy to talk to. He handled my case very professionally and was wonderful to count on for his services. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McAtee and his employees are superb at what they do. I had to have a consultation for my hands and my Achilles tendon. But I have seen him multiple times for different surgeries, I have abused my body, and now I am paying for it.

Dr. McAtee is absolutely wonderful. Great personality and professional. Great surgeon and highly recommended by our family and friends.

Dr. McAtee office took time to explain what to expect in the next 6 weeks. I am very grateful with all the great information. I didn't even mind putting on a pair of shorts they have you wear for x-rays.

He clearly explained my options for a deteriorating arthritic knee.Proceeded with step one, and I understood what to expect. Dr has done hip and shoulder replacements for my spouse with very good outcomes.

Time was taken to explain and answer all questions in a language that I was able to understand. Very knowledgeable and did not make me feel like I was wasting my time.

Everyone was very friendly and did a great job of explaining what my surgery would involve, as well as things to do to aid in full recovery!
