Dr. James McDermott, DO

Dr. McDermott has been my OB for 15 years prior to and through 4 pregnancies. He was with us during all of the good news and some difficult times for our family. His clinical expertise and kind, gentle bedside manner sets him apart. At a very busy office he ensures that ample time is given when it’s truly needed. I couldn’t have made it through some tough experiences with any other doctor.

Dr. McDermott is a wonderful physician. I have been seeing him for many years and would not go anywhere else. I travel over 40 miles currently to see this great doctor.

I greatly appreciated the time, attention and consideration Dr. McDermott extended to address my questions and concerns regarding my medical history. Our lengthy discussion was extremely informative. He's knowledgeable, considerate, and very personable. I am certain that he is truly committed to assisting patients in understanding their conditions. Additionally, I was treated courteously and respectfully by his staff during the visit.

EXCELLENT CARING PHYSICIAN

Doctor was 1 hour late at the last appointment and is 45 minutes late so far for this one. No update from from desk or explanation. Staff also lost track of why I was even here today. The doctor is good, but it’s not worth the hassle of wasting all your time waiting for your appointment and dealing with the incompetent staff.

I have been seeing Dr. McDermott for over 10 years and he is the best physician I have ever dealt with. He listens to what you have to say and addresses all of your concerns. I feel comfortable with him even when in the compromising position of having a pap. He is on top of making sure all tests are done in a timely manner (ie: baseline mammography at age 35) and there is rarely a long wait time for appointments. He is the only gynecologist I will ever go to.

No ridiculous wait time like in another local office. Did not feel at all rushed. Felt comfortable, put me at ease. Listened to my concerns and gave advice accordingly. Encouraged me to give him a call if I had any problems at all.

Dr. McDermott just delivered my first born a few weeks ago. He was absolutely wonderful. He made me and my husband very comfortable. He's extremely down to earth and professional. I would highly recommend him. :)

I did not feel listened to. I felt very rushed. The treatment plan wasn't up to par with my needs at all. He did not actually take the time to listen to what I had to say. He was quick with the pap smear which was appreciated, but other than that I felt absolutely ignored. It seemed like he was rushing to leave the room and did not take the time. I left with a lot of unanswered questions and concerns.

Dr. McDermott is an AMAZING DOCTOR!!!! I have been going to this practice for many years and he and Dr. Rezai ALWAYS go above and beyond. They are compassionate, competent, and spend time getting to know each and every patient and their needs. I am a maternity RN and also work with them, so not only do I see them as their patient, but also as their co-worker. Every single patient of mine gushes about how much they love them as doctors! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

made me wait two weeks for an apt when I was having irregular periods and throwing up blood. Finally the morning of my appointment they call me last min cancelling it and rescheduling it for a week later putting me out 3 weeks now the dr didn't listen to me at all during my apt and just wanted to sell me bc The nurse made me believe I had an std and refused to tell me why they were sending an rx to my pharm.i switched dr's and found out I had endometriosis & needed surgery right away.awful place

Great bed side manner, felt very comfortable.
