Dr. James McNutt III, MD

Great doc. Caring , insightful, highly intelligent.

I have found Dr. McNutt to responsive, caring and thorough in search for causes of my various problems. He routinely calls back within half a day of my calling. Headaches are difficult to treat. Mine layer and have so since college. He has never given up.

I was prescribed medication by Dr. McNutt for vertigo that at the time I didn't realize, had very adverse and severe side effects and my health declined drastically. I was having muscle pain and spasms which made it hard to move, heart palps, anxiety and weakness which I never encountered in my past. When I informed Dr. McNutt about my symptoms he prescribed another addictive medication. I contacted his office about my symptoms and the horrific decline in my health and after one last visit & MRI, Dr. McNutt or his office would not respond to me in any way. I never heard back from him or his office. I filed for soc sec disability and lost my insurance and couldn't continue seeing Dr. McNutt because he doesn't take Medicaid (Thank God!) I sincerely trusted and liked Dr. McNutt and I think he could be a good neuro doctor in certain circumstances. He has a friendly, calming and reassuring demeanor and great qualifications. I just wish Dr. McNutt would have cared enough to tell me "these

He cares, he listens, he lets you ask all the questions you need to and gives you straight answers. Excellent diagnostician. I think many neurologists are more interested in the science of neurology than the patient.

He is a great doc. I went through several neurologists before I saw Dr. McNutt. He is compassionate, respectful, knowledgeable, direct and kind. I was on time, and so was he. I trust him and he cares about his patients.

I have been to other neurologists and have been disappointed until I found Dr. McNutt. He is the best. He's extremely personable, knowledgeable and truly caring. I would recommend him to anyone.

I am incredibly dissatisfied with my experience with Dr. McNutt and am in the process of finding another neurologist. He is unresponsive, never returning my calls when I have medication/other questions. I am in the midst of a daily migraine crisis and do not trust him to help me. He expects me to wait almost a month (for his next available appt) to discuss brain MRI results in person rather than calling me with them asap because that's his protocol. I would not recommend him to anyone.
