Dr. James Orr Jr, MD

Dr Orr is a wonderful and skilled surgeon. Bedside manner and making you feel comfortable meant so much to me. I had a very successful outcome with surgery and left the hospital in less than 24 hours as soon as I could ambulate. Dr Orr, Ted and I are very happy we chose you to help me with uterine cancer. I wish you were still practicing. I owe you my life.

Dr. Orr saved my daughter's life! She had an aggressive cervical cancer that could not be surgically removed because of the location of the tumor. His treatment plan was aggressive but here we are 7 years later - cancer free and healthy!!

Dr Orr is THE MAN who has kept me alive, and I couldnt be MORE appreciative of his care, his knowledge, and his direction. I have been his patient for over ten years, and he is ALWAYS the same, comes in the room and makes you feel like you are the most important patient in the world. What a guy. This is one appointment where I always left feeling better than when I went in. Everyone should have a Dr. Orr in their back pocket!

Dr. Orr made me at ease the moment I met him! As he explained the procedure he would be doing I immediately felt both comfortable and confident. He is an extraordinary human being.

Can’t even make an appointment. Staff answering the phone first made me leave a message for the scheduler, which wasn’t returned. After 50 minutes I called again, now they insist they won’t make an appointment unless I first send them my case file from my referring doctor, plus they deny having received it despite my referring doctor having told me 3 months ago he’d have his staff set it up. Dr. Orr’s staff could hardly describe what I need to do, but finally it became clear I just have to call my old doctor to get things set up. Through all that, Dr. Orr’s staff personnel was quite cold and unfriendly. I have never before EVER been told I cannot make an appointment to be seen as a new patient! My insurance does not require referrals by another doctor, my plan allows me to make my own self-referral. This office staff is RUDE. I will try to find another Gynecologic oncologist, or just go see my old one 4 hours away.

My surgery is more relevant to your survey than my appointments. Dr Orr did a super job at saving my life (at least for the present).He is compassionate not only about his patients but also passionate about his skill and knowledge. Thank God for Jimmy Orr !!

Extremely poor post surgical support. Would never recommend him to anyone. Sorry I didn't look elsewhere first. I have moved on to another provider.

What a bunch of incompetent fools work at this office. The front desk person Sherry repeatedly "forgets" to send scans or pertinent medical information to the parties that need them. They make the patient wait 2 or 3 hours past the appointed time to even see the doctor, and repeatedly "forgets" to return phone calls. The continuous lack of concern for the well being of their patients is disgusting. Dr Orr maybe its time to retire- you obviously dont care anymore- if you ever did!

Dr Orr is a fabulous and caring physician. His staff from office to operating room were are wonderful and caring .

Dr. Jimmy Orr is easily the most genuine, caring, trusting, patient, and respectful doctor I have ever met. He treated us like a member of his family. He is comforting and professional; but will always make light of a situation and make you laugh. He has God given gifts and talents that are simply amazing. Dr. Orr is a true blessing from God; thank you is not enough.

Jimmy Orr is a cold hearted BUTCHER. Don't ever let him take lymph nodes as a "precautionary measure". Lymphedema is FOR LIFE and he refuses to tell you that because it will cost him business. I came in with stage 0 cervical cancer and convinced me to have a radical hysterectomy. 2 years of menopause, advanced fiborsis and chronic, life long lymphedema are the result. When confronted, all Jimmy says is "you're cured". From stage 0 cancer, REALLY?????

In 1994 I was told I had cervical cancer. I was terrified as was my mother. Dr. Orr sat with us until we understood every step he would be taking. Dr Orr is very well educated on cancer, he is very kind and generous with his time. Highly recommend this Doctor to the World.

Excellent bedside manner! Superb surgeon-/ put me at ease before & after surgery! Would absolutely recommend him to others!

The whole appointment experience was disappointing. Took almost 4 hours. They forgot I was waiting in an exam room. Then had problems retrieving my radiology films online then went right to you'll probably need surgery. Not sure I would trust him and his staff with major surgery just based on the overall initial office visit mishaps. Will definitely seek additional medical opinions.

Dr Orr came highly recommended by a friend when Ibwas referred for surgery. Dr. Orr really educates you on the process and procedure. His great personality really helped to ease my anxiety as thus was my very first major surgery. Even at the hospital, he made sure I was okay and involved my family in the whole process. I have had no complications post surgery and my scars are minimal. Outstanding doctor!
