Dr. James Owen, MD

Would not recommend for FAA physical. Recommended further testing which is understandable but was very unhelpful with questions regarding what was needed to move forward. For $250 I would expect more help. Choose another doctor if you can.

This was my first visit with the doctor. He is excellent, professional, well connected with medical community and makes it looks easy as he does his job. He moved quickly to a diagnosis and got me plugged into additional treatment efficiently. Thanks for your practice and your service. It’s great to see the family practice providers making it and being so excellent.

I moved to Lexington last year and randomly picked this office because it was on my insurance. Office staff is horrible and rude. I had to leave an appointment because they were running late (despite the fact that I had just 30 min prior got verbal confirmation from the doctor that he could see me early) and I had to go to work. Upon telling the receptionist I was not pleased with the service she literally yelled at me and told me I was an entitled, demanding, and unpleasant person. The doctor himself does not have good bedside manner and was particularly dismissive of my anxiety and depression. I could tell he had an outdated mindset surrounding the issues. Would NEVER recommend this place.

Exceptional doctor! I’ve recommended many friends to him. His office is a bit old schooled but he is up to date on his knowledge! The staff is always very welcoming and helpful and getting an appointment has never been a problem. He takes his time with all procedures and cares for his patients. I’ve been to many doctors that have wasted my time and got me nowhere but Dr Owen is a rare exception. He knows what he’s doing!

Poor medical records, don't count on accuracy of your records. I do not recommend this office. After 20 years of being a patient and a fool I finally realized proper medical care is much better somewhere else. Very Old school and not up to date.

I would highly recommend Dr. Owen but his staff is terrible. Especially a woman named Becky.
