Dr. Park is extremely knowledgeable and caring.
Both Dr. Park and his nurse practitioner, Jamie were wonderful. Dr. Park ordered all appropriate tests and was very thorough. I felt listened to and was treated with compassion and great care. After my appointment, any questions I had were answered with a call to me and I never felt rushed or put off. I would definitely recommend Dr. Park and his staff!

Avoid this Doctor
This doctor is rude and imperious. My husband liver unexpectedly failed and we went to see Dr Park. Dr Park bluntly announced my husband needed a liver transfer because he was an alcoholic. When I tried to explain that we rarely drank, he told me I was in denial. In fact, my husband’s liver failure was due to repeated exposure to aircraft fuel and medication taken for Crohn’s disease. Note that labs showed no evidence of alcohol abuse. Dr Park would not talk to us directly during the visit even though we were in the same room. We were told to direct all questions to his fellow. It was incredibly discomforting and bizarre. Thankfully, we found another doctor and my husband got a transplant. However, our experience with Dr Park was terrible.

I’ve been a long time patient of Dr. James Park since he was in Great Neck. He has multiple language service and is fluent in Korean. He really cares for patients and makes me feel like I’m cultivating a personalized relationship with my doctor. Very smart liver doctor. Extremely happy with the course of my treatment by Dr. Park and his staff. Never much of a wait time. The patient always gets a thorough going over. Always feel in good hands at NYUMC.

What a horrible practice! Dr Park had his fellow, go over my records and conduct the exam. He arrived about 40 minutes later and announced I needed a transplant. The office manager was very rude. When my wife asked a question, she told her to 'step away from the desk, finish filling out the form' and send an e-mail. She had a temp do the authorizations for the MRI and other tests, which were done incorrectly. The receptionist speaks unintelligible English and barely understands English.
