This Dr. was called to consult after I had heart issues while under anesthesia and post-op. A nurse gave him incirrect info that he ran with and misdiagnosed me with substance abuse. My records were fixed, but he caused me a panic attack post-op, followed with depression and unnecessary stress while I was trying to recover from my surgery and get my records fixed.

I was in deep trouble and didn't know it. Dr. Rice got me out of A=phib in an emergency setting. The prep work he did prior to my aortic valve replacement was top of the line. His sense of the patient is without peer. He's a great and good man. Some other reviews I have seen are from women who, it seems to me, were more concerned with being scolded than the professional care they received.

He has a good bedside manner. Listens and answers questions and spends time without rushing through your appointment. Most importantly he is respectful of the patient and takes the time to explain what you need to know.

This man read my stress test and told me I had "a little plaque" at the top of my aorta and scheduled a follow-up appointment. At that visit, I said I didn't want to be on statins, as I'd read that those with diabetes in their family should avoid them. He YELLED at me, "You've got plaque in your veins! Do you want me to put a stent in you?" "No." "Can you take aspirin?" "I'm allergic to it." He then wrote a script for statins. I later learned statins don't help women. An arrogant man!

I would not recommend this guy to anyone! Saw him today for the first time for a stress test and he was so rude! He yelled. At me and told me I was in terrible shape. He had me in tears and feeling terrible about myself! Of course I'm not in good shape, if I was I wouldn't of been there!

He scheduled echo stress test for me.16 min. after resting following stress test with normal heart rate my rate started climbing to where the nurse called him to room. He told her to turn machine off & told me to eliminate caffeine which I don't use and get more exercise. I got no answer as to why I am suddenly a high risk patient with high risk blood pressure & having PVC's.which is why I was referred there. Now I have to find another cardiologist who can be thorough and knowledgeable.
