Within the last 18 months I had both hips replaced by Dr Rubano. One was done at the hospital and the other at a surgery center. Both went very smoothly. He had his own team with him at both locations who seemed to work very well together! During recovery, when I’d have questions I would leave a voicemail or text and would receive a timely response. I had a very positive experience!!

The staff was very nice and always kept the appointments on time.

My experience was life changing. I had dealt with bone on bone pain in both knees for years. I put off the surgery due to fear, not fear of recovery, but never having been put under. I am so happy I finally took the plunge and had the surgeries. I expressed my goal to Dr. Rubano that I wanted to be able to dance at my son’s upcoming wedding in June 2024. Dr. Rubano guaranteed to fulfill my goal, but it does take teamwork, he did his part and I did mine. First surgery was November 2023, with second surgery March 2024. I danced non stop all night long with a big smile on my face. Thank you to Dr. Rubano and his courteous, professional, and attentive staff.

Dr.Rubano has replaced both my hips..I was in pain for along time and I couldn’t believe I’d be walking around that same night after surgery.I didn’t even need the pain medicine I was prescribed I just took over the counter medicine ..Dr. Rubano and his team explained everything to me in detail even had little props to look at..Him and his team made me feel at ease and surgery’s went great,I can’t thank Dr.Rubano enough and I’d recommend him to anybody..I have no pain anymore and I’m back to normal,,I couldn’t be more happier ..if you need hip replacement surgery contact Dr.Rubano and his team..you won’t regret it I promise Frank C

I’ve had both hips replaced with Dr. Rubano and have been great. My scars are smooth and barely visible. My aftercare team and therapy was awesome. On the most recent replacement in 2024 I will admit I wasn’t too happy with the recovery suite. It seemed unnecessary. I was there for no more than 20 mins so there was no enjoyment of the suite after anesthesia. Never even turned the tv on. Ate and was quickly RUSHED to exit therapy then discharged. As my first experience imo it would have been better to eat and go to therapy from the recovery room. This does not negate the terrific job the surgical team did. I would recommend Dr Rubano and DOS to anyone!

I've had 2 hip replacements with Dr Rubano, and both were amazing. The surgery itself was a lifesaver, but that's nothing compared to the amazing team he has. Every single person there works together, like a well-oiled machine. Wait time for appointments is rarely an issue. They explain everything so simply and make it all so easy, and everyone works in sync and treats you like an individual. Recovery was a breeze, and they even have an app you can follow along to hit all of your progress markers. You have a coach you can call anytime. The response time on calls to the office or emails is impressive. Response time of the providers is very fast also, and always caring and accommodating. I can't say enough amazing things about Dr Rubano. VERY highly recommend!!

He listen to me and explain things I could understand!! I totally recommend him for knee replacements! I had both knees replaced a year apart and I never had a problem with my knees! Only problem was the drugs and we work thru that and the over counter work well !!

I’ve been a patient since 2019. I left a previous review with a recommendation if you’re in need of an orthopedic doctor don’t hesitate going to Dr. Rubano. He will put you at ease with his professional expertise. He doesn’t pressure you to feel like your only option his surgery. In my case after trying everything for over a year and a half it was the wisest choice. I felt at ease with Dr.Rubano and his whole team.Tom is very knowledgeable and explains everything prior to surgery and is very helpful post- op with anything you need.Both the doctor and Tom answered all my questions & concerns.Dr Rubano gave my husband & I very detailed descriptions of the surgery that my husband mostly wanted to hear. Thankfully after surgery,that was best in my case. I did have a lot of fears and worries which was a lot of the reason I waited so long. I wish I would have done it a year earlier now that it’s over. Healing in my case was very manageable. I can’t be happier. Thank you Dr.Rubano, & staff.

I had my left hip replaced in November 2023 at the MUVE center. The experience from start to finish was wonderful!! I can't say enough about the care I received at the MUVE center. The registration person, nurses, and physical therapist were kind, knowledgeable and took excellent care of me. Dr. Rubano did a fantastic job and after three months I am feeling great and back to doing all of the activities I enjoy. I would highly recommend Dr. Rubano and the MUVE center.

The whole process is very thorough. Despite the office doing the safe frequent procedures, you feel very individualized & supported through the pre-op preparation, surgery & post-op follow up.

Dr. Rubano ‘ s care was excellent. I had a total knee replacement and I am still recovering but things are moving along. I am walking 3 miles after 14 weeks and biking riding , first ride was 17.5 miles. The Muve center was state of the art and everyone there was competent and caring. I feel I will fully recover and look forward to many more miles and bike rides.

Dr. Rubano and his team (Tom and Gina) are great. This is my second knee replacement (09/12/2023) and I highly recommend Dr. Rubano. The team takes time to talk to you and explain things and answers my questions via in person or email. With new technology the second knee replacement was a breeze, I was walking with a cane the second week. My PT was done in 5 weeks. Thank you Dr. Rubano and team.

Dr. Rubano and his staff provided surgical excellence and outstanding post-surgical care. Because I had severe arthritis, it was recommended that I have a total hip replacement. I was able to schedule the surgery within a reasonable timeframe. The MUVE surgi-center, where the procedure was performed, is designed to provide a very logical patient flow experience, from the point of patient intake to discharge. My recovery process was clearly explained to me, regarding medications required, physical therapy treatments and follow-up visits. Dr. Rubano's Physician's Assistant, Tom, was very professional and approachable with any questions I had. Although it's only been 3 months since my surgery, I am pain free and fully functional. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Rubano and his team for orthopedic procedures and treatments.

By 2015, I had walked on this knee for 7 yrs knowing I was grinding down the bone. Dr. Rubano had to build it up before he could replace the joint. But he told my partner, it would last a 'lifetime' and with his skill and 'Encompass Health' I have never had a problem.Dr. Rubano and Tom are an amazing team!

I got my right hip replaced 2 years ago. I complained a few months after that I was in pain after the surgery. They didn't want to believe me. Finally they saw me and I had an ultrasound and had 11mg's of fluid taken out. Now later I am getting the same pain and they STINK at getting back to me. They are aweful! If I have to get my other hip done I will be going elsewhere. BTW, before surgery he never even saw me before i went under. And another time in the office i think they forgot about me untill after an hour in the room i said something.

I am originally from New York and had my right knee replaced at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City in 2016. My experience there was very good and I was very leery about having another doctor do my second knee. I researched the doctors at DOS when we moved to Delaware. I read all their credentials and reviews and chose accordingly. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I was so comfortable with Dr Rubano upon our first meeting. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. The new MUVE center and all the staff, in all the locations, were absolutely wonderful! When I had an issue and called, my calls were returned promptly. The staff was courteous and friendly. Getting to the surgery, it went extremely well. Actually after only 2 weeks of having my left knee replaced, I am walking with cane and am ahead of schedule in Physical Therapy! I would totally recommend Dr. Rubano and staff for any Orthopedic issues you may be having!

Dr. Rubano and his team have made such a positive impact on my health and well-being. As a person diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis in my mid-thirties, I suffered significant mobility issues starting in my late-forties - at one point being in a wheelchair for 6 months. From the start of my joint replacement journey (I've had both hips and both knees done), Dr. Rubano listened carefully to my medical history and wellness goals, and answered my questions thoughtfully. He and his staff have guided me through each recovery which have resulted in outcomes that have been life-changing. Now in my mid-fifties, I am able to engage in activities that I had all but given up hope on. I am truly grateful to Dr. Rubano for his incredible surgical skills and compassionate care. I have recommended him highly to several people who have asked about my experience.

I am 71 in excellent health and had both knees replaced 11/20. I was given a very through description of the procedure and what to expect. All my questions were answered and all the risks defined. Surgery and recovery went very well. Highly recommend Doctor Rubano!
