Dr. Ryan Shackelford is in the field to truly help and has helped me make breakthroughs that I haven't been able to make with many others mental health providers. Dr. Shackelford professionalism and ethics are superb. He has seen me literally at my worst to assisting me to getting to a state of being that I have longed for, for over a decade.I've seen Dr. Shackelford for a year of therapy and the it feels good that others have seen the changes I've made from his support I will say ISTDP is not an easy type of therapy. It's not going in to simply vent. This type of therapy gets to the real emotional states that keep one stuck. In sessions with I give a brief description of what topic I need to process and then he and I process the emotional states of the topic. In the the early stages of working with Dr. Shackelford this therapy was so hard but I will tell you it's vital to do the emotional work with D. Shackelford. ISTDP therapy has been a life changer for me. Thank you Dr. Shackelford
