I would suggest searching for another cardiologist. Baptist has wonderful people. It's difficult asking a simple question to him, I wonder if he feels like you are insulting his intelligence.

I recently saw Dr. Shuffield for my rapid heart rate. I have seen him multiple times now, and have nothing but rave reviews for him and his whole staff! He took his time with me explaining all of my test results, and answered all of the many questions I had. He did not rush my appt., and was very easy to talk to, and spoke in medical terms that I could easily understand. He, and his whole staff, were very personable! I would definitely recommend him/them! Thank you!

Since my experience was based upon two appointments and multiple tests which yielded good results, I can't comment upon his expertise. However, he does seem to have a bit of an arrogant, I know it all attitude which is off-putting. For this reason alone, I'm not sure I'll return. He moves quickly through a consultation and isn't particularly communicative. His staff and the staff in the testing center is simply superb.
