Dr. James Speed, MD

The Dr came highly recommended. The first time I went there I was really impressed. He drew pit my whole system. He said he would try to fix it so I didn't need replacement. I left with high hopes. Finally a doctor that cared. Boy was I wrong. My dosage was too high. I could not get ahold of him. I adjusted it based on a Google recommendation. I have been trying to fill my prescription for weeks. I cant even count how many messages I have left. They say they have called and emailed. I ca. Post my email log from my server and my phone records. A few times his office returned my calls after I started leaving messages with his emergency answering service. Finally months later someone told me they would not fill it because they needed labs. I had them send them to me and did them the same day. That was weeks ago. I have left messages and still no refills. I am out. They said I needed to come in but they can't see me till the end of the summer. I asked for refills till he can see me. No

Dr. Speed is very thorough, and all around great guy. Who Understands and is very knowledgeable about diabetes

Dr. Speed is an AMAZING doctor. He takes lots if time to explain everything and has even called after hours to check on things. However, his office is the worst doctors office I have ever dealt with. It often takes at minimum 4 orn5 phone calls to get a prescription refilled. That is after the ignore the pharmacy requests and the pharmacy says I have to contact them. They are not very nice when dealing with them on the phone and response time from a nurse is many days, not 24 hours.

I appreciate how Dr. Speed follows up my visit with a phone call to see how I am doing

Dr. Speed is one of the only Endocrinologist that has ever listen to my concerns and cares about the outcome, even better than my VA primary care doctor.

I think the world of Dr. Speed. He listens, he is respectful of his patients and their needs, and he is an expert in his field. Five stars all around. Highly recommended.

I had been through the medical gauntlet and multiple providers. The personalized care and remedial attention given by Dr. Speed changed everything for me. He is patient and compassionate, and through my medical Up’s and Down’s I have always felt like I have had someone “In my corner” with Dr. Speed. I have had other medical clinic and ER doctors take the time to inform me that Dr. Speeds attention and promptness while I was injured was extremely special and unique. I have continuously agreed.

Dr. Speed is very attentive. My questions and concerns are ALWAYS answered. His advise is current and easily understood. I find he also covers medical needs that are outside of his field as in combining blood tests, etc. that are then co-shared with my primary physician. Definitely a professional that goes above and beyond, I feel more at ease with him as one of my physicians.

Dr. Speed knows how to listen to patients and he treats them with respect. He is an extremely competent doctor but he is not at all intimidating. I highly recommend him.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Speed. He listens and you can tell he actually cares about the patient.
