Dr. James Tseng, MD

Dr. Tseng is the most approachable doctor I have ever worked with. He talks to patients with a confident and genuine manner. I have seen the most anxious and difficult patient and family member in preop transformed after speaking with Dr. Tseng. His way of explaining what patients are about to go through with surgery and anesthesia really puts patients at ease and engenders a trust that is simply amazing for the short amount of time that he has to get all this accomplished. In addition, Dr. Tseng really makes me feel seen and heard and part of the care team. I'm glad to give Dr. Tseng all the props he deserves.

I just had another surgery at Kaiser Vallejo and Dr. Tseng was my anesthesiologist. His calm and confident bedside manner made all the difference. I don't remember a thing after the happy juice. Thank you so much for your expertise!

I just had my 4th baby at Kaiser Modesto in August and Dr. Tseng put in my epidural for me right away when I asked for it. Maybe it was the pain from the contractions, but I honestly did not even notice the needle going in my back. It seemed like less than 5 minutes before I was feeling no pain. I have to say that if Kaiser Modesto can hire people like Dr. Tseng, then things are definitely looking up. So different from my other epidurals.

I had shoulder surgery and was in extreme pain when I woke up. He put a needle in my neck and took all my pain away for days. Amazing skills.
