Dr. James Vavra, DPM

Dr. Vavra has been seeing me for about two years and did surgery on my turf toe. He is a very kind Dr. and his staff is also amazing. Sadly, my surgery hasn't gone so well and PT didn't work nor the shoe inserts. I may have to have another surgery to fuse the toe. At this moment I am still favoring my right toe and unable to wear previously worn shoes. I wish all would have turned out differently, but each person heals differently. I probably will need a second opinion before having another surgery; however, Dr. Vavra is knowledgeable and makes the attempt to resolve all issues and truly cares about his patients.

Dr. Vavra is second to none. He knows what he's doing. Everyone there are simply wonderful. I've been his patient for almost 20 years. He one of the best providers I've EVER had. He listens to his patients and takes a genuine intrest in them. He's not afraid to tell you like it is, but he will also applaud you. He's willing and able to work with you & includes you in care/treatment planning. He bends over backwards for his staff & patients alike. I seriously can't sing his praises enough.

Helpful staff. Nice facility. Dr. Vavra is smart and patient and has good suggestions. He listens when I talk about my foot issues. My orthotics were made there and they have been a blessing. I highly recommend this doctor.

This was the worst experience. I had foot surgery done by him in November of 2016. He removed my bunion. After the surgery I saw him about three more times and everything was going really well. Then just a few weeks ago ( 6 months later) my foot has hurt a lot so I scheduled an appointment with him. When I got there they put me in a patient room and he can in and said " let me do all the talking. You lost my trust by not coming back (I did 3 times) and will no longer see me and walked out.

Dr. Vavra may have many years of experience, however, he is terrible at making orthotics. It has been four months, several appointments and three pairs of orthotics later and they still aren't made properly for my feet! Each appointment he has a different reason why the orthotics were made wrong and he rushes through each appointment. I'm extremely disappointed and now need to find a different podiatrist to actually help me. I recommend you do your research and find a better podiatrist.
