Does Not Listen or Acknowledge Patient Concerns
Over 2 visits, one visit he came into the room and said everything looks good. He hadn’t even seen me yet. If he had just looked at me, he would have known that. Someone else’s information had been added to my chart but my physical appearance was not hers!!! My most recent visit came after I had spent a long time in hospital. But, he walks into the room and says we should change my cholesterol med. He had not done a new lipid panel. Regardless, I finally got him to read my chart which included a ECG with some irregularities and a couple episodes of very low heart rate which could be explained by the ECG. I wanted to understand it and he just gave me a two second explanation. I had more questions but his personal cell phone rang, he turned to me as I was mid-sentence with a question, said “I’ve got to take this.” and left the room. It was about 3:45 pm on Friday and as I sat in my car to leave, there he was strolling to his.

Dr. James Wick was so impersonal. He didn't introduce himself and never addressed me by looking at me (Just came in and looked at the computer). After reviewing the results of my stress test, he was very dismissive about my symptoms and didn't explain things simply enough for me to understand. The technician had to keep answering my questions for him. And before I even left, he asked the "girls" what else was on the docket. I was appalled. I felt so unimportant. Considering there is a history of heart disease in my family, and I constantly feel fatigued, out of breath, have trouble sleeping, and have two siblings with a hole in their heart leading to T.I.A's...I feel I need a second opinion.

Does not spend much time with behavioral changes. Spends more time prescribing drugs and more tests like sleep studies.
