I saw her twice several years apart for ovarian cysts that had developed and she did each of my surgeries. I thought she was professional, highly skilled, competent and I felt very confident in her and knew she’d take good care of me. I never found her to be rude, she was matter of fact and detailed, confident, kind, straight forward, skilled and that’s what I want in a surgeon.

Dr Bakkum-Gamez is a great surgeon! She knows what she is doing. She saved my life and I’ll will always be great-full for her. Her team members were very nice. I trusted everything she did. But I am an introvert and have a lot of trouble talking to a group so I came off as being weird and really couldn’t ask many questions. Plus I was in a very scary place in my life. I don’t think she understood that part of my over a month hospital visit therefore it was obvious she didn’t like me. I still would go to her for surgery but I wouldn’t expect her to understand me.

I saw Dr. Bakkum-Gamez a year ago. I was referred for endometrial cancer and as a result had a hysterectomy. She was very easy to talk to and spent as much time with us as we needed. Her bedside manner is excellent and I do not understand the previous reviewer that she was “rude”. Quit the opposite! A very competent and talented young woman.
