Everyone there is wonderful!
I have been seeing Dr. Ammons for years and she has always been very caring and supportive. I can’t imagine seeing anyone else. She is so kind compassionate. Tina and the office staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. I definitely recommend going to this office if you want help for mental health issues.

was fine till it wasn't
The doctor was ok at first. She seemed friendly and asked me a lot of questions. She is a bit outdated and I found it increasingly disturbing to see her looking up things on her tablet pertaining to care. Some that didn't even make sense. She also was adamant about cognitive therapy when my diagnosis was one that does not do well with cognitive therapy and is recommended to use medication to treat. At my last appointment, she was dismissive about why I was seeing her in the first place.

I saw Dr Ammons quite a few years ago at The University of Toledo Medical Center. She was wonderful. Has a great sense of humor, and talked to me like I was a person, not just a patient.

I wasted three months waiting to get into this office, only to be disappointed. I felt judged by the doctor and like she did not understand my symptoms and I felt horrible afterwards. I'm glad I went to the doctor; while Dr. Ammons said I only had anxiety, it turned out I also had bipolar and BPD! I am glad I went with my instinct and got treatment at a better facility.

I was in deep depression when I started seeing a counselor in Dr Ammons office. First I was reviewed by a student intern. Dr Ammons reviewed the students notes and prescribed medication. I had not done well on medication previously. Saw the counselor a few more visits when I started to have severe side effects from the medication. When the counselor explained the side effects she witnessed with Dr Ammons, I was abruptly discharged from her practice without explanation. Treating a patient who is in a dark place with such a crass attitude is rude and unsafe. I left the office in tears feeling like I wasn’t worth her effort. I would never recommend this office. Thankfully I’m still alive to write this review. There are other options. Choose someone else.

I recently returned to Dr Ammons office after an insurance change forced me to find a different provider. The FIRST change I made when I got an accepted health plan again was to get back in to see Dr Ammons. She is kind, a great listener and passionate about her patients. Tina and other office staff have never been anything but kind. Feel very blessed Dr Ammons picked the specialty she did.

I have been see Dr. Ammons for over 10+. Years. I have NEVER had a problem with her or anyone in her office. NEVER been rushed and Tina up front has always been top notch since day one. They ALL went out of their way to help my adult daughter not COMMIT SUICIDE and get her the help she needed with one of their councilors. With out Dr. Ammons TINA and her office my daughter would be DEAD NOW??. I am thankful and blessed that she and associates are here and are working hard to help everyone.

I was rushed through my appointment and treated rudely. Dr. was cold and uncaring. Small, musty smelling place. Check in staff-older lady with too much perfume and makeup, unprofessionally dressed-talks way too much and is nosy.

As a patient for a number of years, I can only say I looked for the best and definitely found her Dr. Ammons. She is responsive to questions and phone calls. She keeps abreast in the latest research and medications. She cares about her patients and encourages each patient to get stronger in understanding and managing their illness. I highly recommend her! She also has a great CNP, Scott, who is the challenging therapist to get you unstuck.

I saw Dr. Ammons for almost 5 years. In the beginning she was very kind and seemed to truly care about my psychological well being. Sadly, over time her facade began to slip and she became (and stayed) very dismissive and rude and rushed me through my appointments. I left her care about a year ago, found an amazing psychiatrist and have made incredible progress since we parted. I do not recommend her due to her lack of professionalism, rude demeanor and threatening nature.

I saw Dr Ammons for 1yr. She abruptly dropped Me as a patient, because, I canceled an appointment for a family funeral. It made Me distrust seeking treatment with another psychiatrist.

Wonderful, patient, never uncomfortable or awkward, great support staff makes you feel like your there for a visit not an appointment. Remembers to ask about specific famly members or events! Yes its probably in her notes but its small stuff that seems insignificant matters to her. I highly recommend her!
