Dr. Janet Choi, MD

Dr. Choi gave my wife very poor advice when she was considering egg freezing. Dr. Choi recommended freezing only two eggs—a number far too small to significantly improve my wife's chances of conception. This led to a costly situation in which Choi's institution profited from the fees associated with storing just two eggs. Meanwhile, freezing such a small quantity created insurance complications. The insurer required us to use the frozen eggs for an IVF cycle where we had to pay roughly $19,000 out-of-pocket, instead of covering a cycle using fresh eggs. Overall, I believe Dr. Choi's advice was both self-serving and irresponsible.

Dr Choi is one in a million. Caring, straightforward, positive but realistic - everything you need when facing this process. But above all this - to our little family - she is the genius that made it happen against the odds. Her connections and network made a complicated situation possible. We can never thank her enough…

Dr. Choi is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced. My husband and I appreciated her thorough explanations and attentiveness. She shows care through her patience as she answers every question and by personally calling you to check-in or provide updates. She encouraged us to stay optimistic even if tests came back with unfavorable or inconclusive results. We trusted her guidance and ended up being able to conceive naturally. We're so thankful to have worked with her and will work with her again without hesitation if we face infertility challenges in the future.

We highly recommend working with Dr. Choi. She balances empathy and care with providing in-depth information and data. Dr. Choi was extremely thorough, and we felt well supported throughout the IVF process. She went above and beyond including coordinating with one of my other doctors when I had an allergic reaction and on another occasion made herself available to talk through things even when she was on vacation. While there is collaboration among the doctors for monitoring, Dr. Choi always seemed familiar with our progress and would make sure that we saw her when necessary. I enjoyed getting to know the other doctors in the practice as well.

Going to CCRM and Dr. Choi was one of the best decisions of my life. I am so grateful for the entire experience. I would recommend the practice to anyone for the care each person in the office shows towards patients, the sense of humor, amazing skill in advocating for patients, excellence, sense of respect you feel as a patient- truly wonderful.

CCRM and Dr. Choi were the second office my husband and I visited when conquering our fertility issues. It was day and night compared to the prior experience we had. Dr. Choi was super helpful, knowledgeable and always made herself available when needed. She explained things thoroughly to my husband and I. Dr Choi is an incredible doctor. I started seeing her in the fall after a couple of miscarriages and a very traumatic one last summer. I was 37 when I started treatment with her. She is very direct, knowledgeable and caring. I always felt like I was in the best care. I am now 13 weeks pregnant thanks to Dr Choi.

I saw Dr. Choi for IVF and had a great experience. She’s extremely knowledgeable and communicates in a clear and direct manner while being honest, supportive and hopeful. Throughout the years she's cared for me as we tried to grow our family, she's always been there during key moments while under her care. Her staff at CCRM NY is also very responsive and always kind. My husband & I had a great experience with Dr. Choi and could not recommend her more highly. Echoing other reviews - she spent meaningful time explaining the IVF process and setting expectations on outcomes, made sure to proactively solicit and answer all of our questions, and explain all test results in detail along the way. These days, it's rare to find doctors who are competent but also trustworthy, approachable and accessible - Dr. Choi is all of those things.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to be Dr. Choi's patient. Doing IVF during a pandemic adds lots of stress to an already challenging and unpredictable situation, but I felt reassured knowing that I was in the best hands. Dr. Choi genuinely cares about helping you, and she is extremely knowledgeable and thorough - I met with her to get a second opinion after a not-so-great experience at another clinic and she suggested a number of additional tests my other doctor had never brought up. She's very calm, straightforward and to the point but never in a brusque or condescending way. I trusted her immediately and I'm so glad I switched clinics. It's a small practice but run very well, scheduling was easy and wait time was short. All the receptionists, IVF coordinators and nurses are wonderful and take the time to get to know you by name. The facilities are also very new and clean. I did two rounds of IVF with Dr. Choi I am now in my first trimester. I would recommend her & CCRM to anyone!

7 years, 6 iui’s, 6 ivf’s, 3 chemical pregnancies and 1 cervical ectopic later our little miracle is finally here. You can call it a miracle but I believe it’s more than that. I believe we were able to get pregnant this time successfully because we were fortunate to find such an amazing doctor. Dr. Choi really took her time to understand our situation. Where as the 3 clinics we went to before basically just went straight into the ivf cycle, didn’t work just try again and again without changing anything. CCRM is by far the best infertility clinic we’ve been to, and I’m not just saying that because it worked. They really are the best, the entire staff. There were places we went to either we felt rushed by the doctors, or the front desk and or billing were not that friendly. We’ve never had an unpleasant encounter. On top of that I feel they respect your time too, they don’t make you wait a hour for your appointment. We can’t be more thankful to Dr. Choi and CCRM for our sweet boy. ??

I decided to do egg freezing and chose Dr. Choi as my primary physician at CCRM. I was so pleased with the experience that I'd do it all over again. Dr. Choi was gentle and approached me as a individual person. I never felt like a number. She cared about my health and needs above all else. I also had the chance to see Dr. Levine and Dr. Talabian at CCRM NYC. They were also great - friendly, gentle and very knowledgeable. We had a great experience with CCRM (NYC) and Dr. Choi. After going to a previous clinic, we found CCRM professional and detailed-oriented. Dr. Choi was methodical and pragmatic. Dr. Choi and her team are beyond incredible. I felt so at ease at CCRM and I trusted her from day one. She is extremely professional, and detail oriented- her office visits and phone calls are not rushed and she genuinley cares about her patients. While there were many highs and lows in the process, Dr. Choi was very patient and supportive. One thing I learned and cant stress enough is do the genetic testing!! While you might get terribly disappointing results, it will save you from wasting time and money transferring non- viable embryos. CCRM is the nicest Dr. office I have ever been to, they are punctual and you receive personalized attention every day. I am now 10 days away from giving birth to my son! I am forever greatful for Dr. Choi, Ashlee her nurse and the CCRM team for making my dream come true- becoming a first time mom at almost 43 years old!

Dr. Choi is amazing - super smart, clear and concise in her explanations and very compassionate. She tells it like it is and sets clear expectations which I really appreciated when going through IVF to try to add to our family. We had to make some hard decisions along the way and she gave us all the facts and an objective perspective so we always felt we could make well informed decisions.
