Dr. Janice Connolly, MD

I was very sick recently and was treated in a hospital near downtown Seattle. Janice was the doctor making the rounds on the floor and I found her to lack empathy, to be short (as if it was a chore for her to take the few minutes to look through my chart and provide basic care instructions) and worst of all, to be unnecessarily rude and dismissive to the other medical staff. When I pulled up her name to write reviews, I was shocked to see that she specializes in hospice, palliative and geriatric care! I would go as far as to say that she is a mean person. I can understand that the work of medical staff can be seemingly unending and thankless, but many patient, myself included, try to not be a PITA. Please, be kinder and more compassionate to your fellow humans.

This doctor states that she only speaks to the families of hospitalized patients once per day. If you aren’t there when she does her rounds, you are out of luck. You can leave a message but she will not call back. Background: I am an ICU physician who flew 2500 miles to see this patient; I know good communication is essential; if that’s important to you, you don’t want this doctor.
