Dr. Janiece Bridges, MD

My mother legally made me POA over her healthcare matters and had signed a HIPAA Privacy Authorization form stating that I was authorized to get information regarding her condition. For whatever reason, Dr. Bridges refused to provide me medical information on my mom, though I had sent both the POA and HIPPAA Authorization form to Dr. Bridges, twice. Dr. Bridges apparently contacted my mother and asked her to come in and sign some papers. Though I don't know what specific papers my mother signed, the effect was that I no longer have access to my mother's medical information. To me, this appeared to be a deliberate and underhanded action on Dr. Bridges' part to keep me from having access to my mother's medical information. If this is the way Dr. Bridges deals with people, I would encourage anyone who is thinking about using Dr. Bridges to reconsider your decision.

I never got to see the doctor I was told that he was unavailable because of health problems so I saw a NP instead at this practice. I needed a referral to an Orthopedic doctor for my broken foot so she ordered an X-ray, then they refused to refer me saying that they didn't see anything wrong! Who looked at the scan? I'm supposed to be referred to Orthopedics then someone qualified can look at the scan that's trained to read it. This is complete incompetence and I immediately fired them.

Dr. Bridges is an EXCELLENT provider. She listens and explains things very clearly. She is understanding and truly cares about her patients.
