Awful. More concerned about how good personal insurance was instead of addressing the fact that the appt. was specifically to treat a medical problem in office. She is full of herself and then called me at the end of the day to say, she could of done procedure after all. What a horrible way to treat someone in pain!

I have a few concerns about Patel’s and Genesis office & billing communication. Procedural skill I can’t offer much of an opinion on, however when a clinician is literally a conversational minimalist, it almost always smacks of not being as competent as better informers. Very brief meeting post-endoscopy. I was essentially only told to double up on proton pump inhibs. I recall no discussion of the already problematic side effects with PPIs, nor a warning about top med school findings showing a significantly heightened risk for dementia in older (such as mine) populations. Dementia article found after my last appt.Addl’y., the report was probably the briefest I have ever received from a doctor. A few sentences that noted very little and no real advice, thus an area suggested for improvement. Maybe I met with her on a bad day in her life, yet the overall experience should be more beneficial. Office & billing staff gave us an unexpected & sizable charge; eventually worked out.
