Dr. Jannah Thompson, MD

I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Thompson for a kidney stone that is wreaking havoc at the moment. I have a history with this office since I was 23 years old (30+ years) and I have seen Dr. Thompson in the past, but I haven't needed an appointment since my last one in 2017. I went to the emergency room in November of 2021 for a bad kidney stone. It wouldn't pass so I scheduled an appointment with a different urology office because I could get in right away and they performed surgery to remove it. I was told I am no longer wanted as a patient with Dr. Thompson (according to the appt. scheduling person) because I was a patient at a different practice and should go back there. I told her I didn't want to go back there. I wanted to see Dr. Thompson. Since when is it a crime to visit another practice and decide you want to go back to the office you have a LONG history with? I hope that Dr. Thompson sees this and is not on board with what I was told. Very disappointed.

I found Dr Thompson to be very helpful and professional. She explained all procedures and answered all my questions. She took plenty of time for my exam and consult. I would recommend her to others.

It's been a few years since my bladder surgery. I have had great results and recommending Dr. Thompson to my mother for bladder surgery.

She's a great doctor and her PA is also great, but their office staff gets a zero rating. Appointment on Dec. 3 with them suppose to call me back. No call, so I finally emailed via their website on June 1 and received a call back on Aug. 1! With the answer that I would have to call my insurance company myself to find the cost of treatment. Patient portal says "await call back regarding this."
