Dr. Althaus is an excellent doctor. She consulted with me twice due to a rare autoimmune disease and both times I met with her she had actually read my medical history prior to the appointment (unlike most providers I have had the misfortune of seeing at Essentia, where you spend over half the appointment trying to get the latest locums or np they have pawned you off to caught up on your condition) and was prepared with actual evidence-based information to supplement her recommendations. She is direct, takes her time to listen and answer questions, and went out of her way to help me. I don't understand other negative reviews. I'm not looking for a friend when I go to the doctor; I want a competent professional, and Dr. Althaus well exceeded all of my expectations. I couldn't have been happier with her care.

I was not happy at all. I was referred by my OB GYN at St Luke's due to a high risk pregnancy. I am type one diabetic. The ultra sound was completed and she came in the room. She did not say much at all about the ultra sound results. Aside from what she can see looks fine. She found it necessary to have a conversation about my weight. This is the 20 week ultra sound. It is supposed to be fun and it is all about the baby. Also, I have two other people there (privacy plz) and you are not my doc
