Better Choices are Available
He doesn't seem to be prepared to discuss specifics. Test results linger in the patient portal and unless the patient calls to remind the staff that results are available to discuss no one reaches to set an appointment. Office staff could be improved as well.

On the first visit he requested a MRI, in the second appointment he asked me what was the reason of the visit, he didn't spend any time to read the medical record and he didn't reviewed the MRI, after he recommended a biopsy what was the opposite of what he told me the first time, he gave me the option of MRI, which he highly recommended and will give an indication of the next step or a biopsy; now both are needed. I will look for a different urology.

Poor experience
Dr. Stringer is one of the worst doctors we have personally encountered. He gave my husband (who has dementia) medicine that made the dementia worse. When a UTSW doctor became his doctor, he said it was a horrible medicine to put a dementia patient on. And Dr. Stringer spent about 5 min or so with us in a January followup, charged $150, said 'If it ain't broke don't fix it.' and to leave him on it another year! I realized it was causing the dementia to worsen. Took him to another dr. who agreed he had to come off of it immediately. After a while, his dementia started to return back to where he was before he was administered the med. I am extremely disappointed in this doctor and the staff who doesn't return calls for days, if at all. NEVER going back.

Dr. Stringer Office Staff
I have been a patient of Dr. Stringer's since 2005. I do not know what has happened in his office but you can not get a human person to talk to you. You have to leave a message and hope they return a call. I have been waiting 2 days for a call back. Terrible office service which will make me leave the practice.

You’re staff is the worst
I believe I spoke with Kay who didn’t want to help me set up an appointment on Monday overj the phone. What the hell is with the rudeness of your staff at you’re medical office? Who aren’t nice. Why don’t they call patients back? Unbelievable by reading some of the reviews something is totally wrong with this….and its unacceptable behavior. I’m going to find a different urologist and practice. I HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS SOMEONE NEW I don’t advice this practice to anyone! When the staff is horrible and don’t even care to call you back to setup appointments when that’s there job.

Please address the issues with your rude staff
You know as well as everyone else that the ladies in your office are angry and do not like dealing with the public. They wont return calls to schedule appointments. You acted like it urgent that I take care of my issues but your firewall prevents that. Can anyone recommend another urologist?

I got cancer and this doctor has been more than excellent. In fact, his staff is also excellent and has treated my condition successfully. I am now CANCER FREE. I had to undergo 15 treatments and it was so painful I put a towel in my mouth so people in buildings next door could not hear me “SCREAM”. We then turned over my treatments to his Nurse and I cannot begin to tell you what a fine Lady this is, skilled, intelligent, caring, tender, compassionate and everything I needed to survive this horrific process. My first doctor was an absolute Quack who literally disappeared, what a pitiful excuse for a doctor. I am so relieved to have found this Urologist I cannot begin to tell you. The fact is, I could have died from this cancer and instead I survived. Having provided AAA Judicial Services for 17 year, I have taken an Oath of Office and do not hesitate to recommend this practice.

Please keep in mind that this review is not for Dr. Stringer but for his office/billing department. The doctor was always curteous His office staff however was very rude and unprofessional in several interactions we had with them. I believe the people I interacted with was Kay and Vicky or Sue(or both) . Another person talked to me on the phone and refused to give me her name. Even though we spend a lot of time and money starting the cancer treatment process with them, we chose to use other doctor just so we never had to deal with this office again. After performing a biopsy with the doctor we started receiving several bills from his office and from the labs. Since the procedures listed on both had same names, but 2 different lab names ( The charges we received in our insurance was for a Poplar laboratory and the bills on the mail for Bostwick laboratories, and we had same procedure being charged by the office themselves ) we called the office to get clarification before paying to

He is the best I've ever had (and I've had many because I relocated often in the past 20 years). He is a professional scientist who practices medicine wisely. A nice balance between clinical, logical and personable.

Absolutely loved dr stringer and his staff. They’re so friendly. Explaining to a woman (me) that I need bladder and internal reconstruction after having 8 children would be difficult. It’s a hard pill to swallow things are falling down where they shouldn’t be. He delivered the information in a no nonsense kind of way but in a way I understood and why it was important to have the procedures done. He educated me and left the decision up to me. I never felt like he was recommending something that wasn’t in my best interest. I felt like he only had my concerns at heart and genuinely wanted to help me feel better. I feel like a new woman. I can’t express how grateful I am to him and his staff. Wonderful bed side manner and very skillful. I have recommended Dr. Stringer to my friends and family already. Bladder lift, anterior/posterior colporopphy and pelvic floor lift. -I’m a new woman and I don’t pee my pants anymore, even jumping on the trampoline with my kids!

The office staff are some of the worst that I have encountered. The hospital made a follow up appointment. When the nursing home got my dad to the office they did not have his appointment in their computer. They scheduled him for today. When the nursing home called to verify the appointment they said that once again he was not in the computer. They even asked to see the appointment card. I can understand that mistakes happen. But the exact same error twice in a row is a sign of incompetence.

Dr. Stringer spent about an hour and a half with my wife and me explaining my prostate cancer diagnosis and potential treatments. We were both impressed with his genuine concern and his ability to explain things in layman's terms. Would highly recommend Dr. Stringer.
