Yikes
The office staff is kind and attempts to make up for the disconnects of their poorly run business, but it is clear that there is a lack of communication between departments and that they are used to making excuses. Then there’s Dr. Masci. Although I do think he is good at what he does, he has no problem making patients wait a minimum of an hour and a half to be seen. Whether you have the first appt of the day or last at night, he is NEVER on time. He’ll tell you that he runs late because he is helping severe patients, but his staff admitted that he was taking his son to school, taking care of his dog, or simply decided not to arrive at the office by 10am for his 9am appointments. He is a narcissist and thinks the rules do not apply to him. When patients mention the delays, he tells them they should bring a book. Your time is in no way important to him and he does not apologize for it. There are plenty of good doctors that run respectful and responsible practices. Pass on this one.

I did not enjoy waiting 2 hours to be seen by this doctor. I really did not enjoy being lectured about my dislike for waiting 2 hours by this doctor. My appointment was a total waste of time and money.

Money > patients well-being
My husband died and as a result, I lost my insurance and have switched to medicaid. I am a disabled person so I cannot work. Dr. Masci refuses to submit the appropriate paperwork to become accredited for treating people with medicaid. As a result, he has abandoned me in my very difficult time , without any regard to my health and well-being. I would not recommend such a heartless person for care of mental health.

Mr. Masci (He doesn't deserve the title of Dr.) is thee worst provider I have EVER met in my entire life. He is EXTREMELY rude. I SAT IN THE WAITING ROOM, WAITING FOR *2* HOURS!! I was the only patient in the office. Not 1 staff member said anything to me. I work in the medical field and the way he treats his patients is disgusting and disturbing. He has a ton of mental health issues himself. He will snap at you out of nowhere and WILL NOT apologize and will lie to his staff and say nothing happened. He is providing a service for mentally fragile patients. The way he treated me was very traumatic. I wouldn't send ANYONE to him and definitely will not refer any patients to him. Any chance I get I tell people absolutely DO NOT go to him.

Makes decisions based on his wallet, not based on his patient's needs. Prefers easy psychiatric cases and does not train his office staff adequately. He is not helpful to his community from the psychiatric standpoint.

Dr. Masci listens very well and provides you with the tools you need to help yourself. I feel very confident in him and I have noticed a real difference in the quality of my life since beginning treatment with him. Additionally, Landmark Health Systems is the most sophisticated and cool mental health organization that I have every witnessed. I feel very comfortable there and actually look forward to going. It's not a sterile and unwelcoming environment, its just really caring.

Dr. Masci has a blatant disregard for people's time. Kept me waiting 35 minutes, and then when he finally came down for me, he said he only needed 30 minutes (even though I'm paying for an hour). He was apparently reviewing my file when I should have been in his office. No communication to this end. Didn't even apologize for keeping me waiting. I canceled the appointment and got my money back. Waited almost 3 months for this appointment. Maybe he's good at what he does (I'll never know), but to me it's not worth it to deal with this kind of disrespect.

Grossly unprofessional. Only met with Dr. Masci one time in his office. He stated he did not feel I was an alcoholic, and may be able to drink again. As time in the clinic progressed I had issues with staff communication. When I attempted to make an appt with him, at the suggestion of my therapist, before leaving the practice altogether, I was dismissed altogether before I could receive my last vivitrol shot.

Dr. Masci does not communicate well with patients regarding prescriptions. If you need mental health help, honestly this would not be the best place for you, as it may just cause more issues than it solves. Stay away.

I agree with other reviews on this office being a money machine and yes it sucks.. but the alternative is worse. As for Dr. Masci being for lack of better words " a jerk" I think is crazy. He an addiction specialist! He's not going to give out drugs to people like candy! He wants to help not make it worse, at least that's what I'm getting. And his staff is great. And his nurse Rose is awesome. They care, listen and are so relaxed.im shocked with the negative reviews. I think they are great.

This clinic is saving my life. Their approach is really refreshing and unique. I feel like for the first time since Ive been on subs, someone is actually listening to me and wanting to help me. The nurse who did my intake really took her time and got to know me. The clinic has been very flexible with scheduling and they're nice to me when I have to bring my kids. The Saturday hours and night hours are really great if u work and have kids and such. Dr. Masci is nice and really cares.

Suboxone Patient in Buffalo, NY – Jul 26, 2018

The office on Linwood is amazing. It feels comfy, the staff is friendly, the decor is incredible. Dr. Masci is very warm and easy to talk to. I have been his patient for about 8 months and I have made a lot of progress working towards my goals and getting things back on track for myself. I never feel judged or pressured. We've had to adjust my meds a lot in the past 3 months and they've been really helpful and patient about making sure I'm on the proper meds / proper dose to best help me.
