Dr. Jarred Burkart, MD

Dr. Burkart was very positive and had an optimistic outlook from discovery through treatment. He made clear recommendations and consulted with others on my behalf. He was on time at appointments. All concerns and questions were addressed.

He took the time to listen to my concerns, without judgement, and ordered a bunch of things to be ruled out. Got further with him in one visit than I did OSU

Dr BURKART with NO doubt the best oncologist. This doctor cares so much for his patients. Dr Burkhart has been there for my husband and me every step of this journey so far. He LISTENS so closely to our concerns and gets things done so quickly. Dr Burkharts caring nature is second to no one. I could spend all day writing but still would not be able to list all of this doctors wonderful characteristics. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!

Started seeing Dr. B around the end of 2020, started immunotherapy then chemo and then he sent me to radiation. He was always showing his concern about me and the treatment. Was in the hospital for two months and he was there sometimes before I ever woke up. He is a very caring, professional, well spoken, friendly doctor. I know I put him through his paces a number of times. But wouldn't ever have changed doctors had I not left Ohio for Indiana. A very sad day for me! His nurses, schedulers were all extremely courteous, very understanding and patience with me. I would recommend Dr. B to anyone who needs an oncologist.

I was treated for iron deficiency anemia via infusion ordered by Dr. Burkart. The nurse improperly placed the iv and caused iron to pool in my lower arm. The process was supposed to take a half an hour. Once my IV was “placed”-my nurse went out to lunch and the nurse covering for her sat with her back to me and did not check me or the IV the entire time. It is completely against normal procedure not to check the patient periodically for that IV infusion. My skin is now stained permanently from the iron from my wrist to elbow. A permanent reminder of the incompetence of the nurses and staff at Columbus Hematology Oncology. Get infused at that office at your own risk or go to an office where the IV is placed with ultrasound guidance.
