Failed to provide the basic standard of care!
My son visited BS&W Emergency Hospital with acute epi-gastric pain. Dr. Brown merely ran labs and sent him out the door. 3 days later my son was lying on the floor begging for death and vomiting because the pain was so horrible. A repeat ER trip to a different hospital discovered stones obstructing his gallbladder causing inflammation and infection. He was taken into emergent surgery for removal and received IV antibiotics. Interestingly enough, just reviewing my son's presentation with my retired physician father sight unseen, he said "gallbladder and needs ultrasound". Not sure why this ER physician failed to order such a non-invasive diagnostic test. It was certainly merited and would have saved my son significant pain and suffering. He's lucky he didn't die from a gangrenous and perforated gallbladder. This physician should not be providing clinical services in an emergent setting.
