Dr. Jason Florimonte, MD

Florimonte knowledge in common areas is limited, and physical exams are questionable. (1) He included PSA in lab work even though, AUA do not recommend it for age 70+ and according to Richard Ablin (discovered PSA) it is not an indicator for disease existence according to low or high numbers; test was designed to detect possible disease 'recurring' not happening for the very first time. (2) Submitted orders for procedure with specialist without informing/asking me. (3) Requested a noninvasive colonoscopy that he didn't know existed. (4) Gave most incomplete physical exam ever: (a) Shined a flashlight into my mouth for literally 2-3 seconds, didn't exam gums or eyes. (b) Looked into my ears for a couple of seconds. (c) checked breathing for a few second. Physical exam took about 10 minutes including walking in and out of office... (4) Requested same bloodwork as previous but it missed, vitamins, testosterone, hemoglobin, etc.

I started going to this office because of the previous physician, Dr. Guirgis. He has an exceptional educational and work history. He was great, but then he left and I met Dr. Florimonte. Dr. Florimonte is the kindest doctor I've ever met, and as much as I like Dr. Guirgis, Dr. Florimonte is my favorite. He's actually my favorite doctor, ever. He spends time with you and will talk through your concerns. I have always felt that doctors would just want to get you out of there as quickly as possible, until I met Dr. Florimonte. My wife gave-up on getting physicals from her doctor because she caused my wife so much anxiety, so I told her to switch to Dr. Florimonte. She had her first appointment today and fell in love with his bedside manner. Her anxiety was more at ease than it has ever been while at the doctor. The office staff including Danielle, Marcy and Alicia are consummate professionals. They are super hard workers in a fast-paced environment, but still maintain their won

He takes his time during your visit and asks if you have any questions for him.

I had a medical emergency that required FMLA paperwork to be completed. I had to call and eventually go down to the office and sit in the lobby for over an hour to finally get them to even look at my paperwork. Marcie the office manager never returns phone calls or emails. They do not even return office messages that you send on the office portal. This is the worse experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. I ended up having to switch to a location that was out of my way to get the level of service I deserved. The doctor is nice in person but he does not want to complete paperwork or so they say it's the doctor and not the office manager Marcie. Find somewhere else to go instead of this horrible place.

The office staff is incompetent. Appointments aren’t scheduled correctly. There is no follow up. Phone calls are not returned. This doctor allowed my medications to lapse. He didn’t respond to the numerous requests for refill authorizations and no one in his office called to let me know this was happening, what the problem was or if there even was a problem.

My wife an I get an annual preventative screening every year. We are new to the area and selected this doctor listed our insurance network. You have to go for a new patient establishment visit before they schedule an annual. They do not tell you about new patient fees when you schedule the appointment, or during check-in/check-out. They code the annual visit as part of the new patient visit (not covered by insurance) and charge $500+ (which would be covered by insurance if coded correctly). The doctor is accepting new patients but established patients cannot get an appointment for months. Find a different doctor with better ethics.

They charge an undisclosed new patient establishment fee (billed by the minute!) before doing an annual preventative screening (covered by insurance). They code the annual preventative screening as part of new patient establishment and bill over $600 (not covered by insurance because of the way it is coded). You will have to call the office repeatedly for days for a nurse to return your call to review your lab results. The doctor is accepting new patients but it will be months before an established patient can get an appointment to see him. While we are all grateful to healthcare workers for getting us through a global pandemic, it is disheartening to see some providers blindside patients with their legal but unethical practices.

Doctor Florimonte has an amazing re pore with me he listens!!!!! He is understanding Kind and considerate. He is the best doctor i have met and have followed him all the way to Kailua when I live in Mililani!! I respect his impute and honor his request he is my Doctor!!
