He fused C7 T1-2. Very skilled and great bedside manner this was done in 2013. Now I have developed some other issues and spent weeks waiting for records for him. Now I know he's left the practice and finally got a fax number for him 843-474-0172. I understand he works out of several offices now.

I had not seen him in a while- called for appt and discovered he is on his own and not in insurance network- cash. So disappointed in his lack of concern for his patients.

He's very good at what he does. But, he's gone private. Now the patients of his are left drowning. All for the mighty dollar. I really miss his experience and knowledge.

I can't say enough about Dr Highsmith. He is very professional and nothing but an Outstanding Neurosurgeon. I have the pleasure of Dr Highsmith operating on my lower lumbar replacing 5 very bad over the last 8 years plus he has implanted and replace neuro STIMULATORS one for my lower lumbar and one upper spine. I owe my life and better quality of health health to Dr Highsmith. When you need him his does an outstanding job getting me an appointment to be seen right away. Thank you.

I love Dr.Highsmith.he's a very great doctor. He is great at what he does and has a great bedside manner. My only problem with him is that I was reschedule several times before I received my temporary stimulator. After I did get to try it out I was told I couldn't get the perimant one in place until May. Three months away from the date I got to try the stimulator out. Here it is April the hospital and the doctors office call to pre-register. Today I get the phone call they have to reschedule me

I was blessed to have found Dr. Highsmith. I have had multiple spinal/neck surgeries/procedures from an injury back in 1987. I have been in pain management full time for 19 years; therefore I know when something does not feel right. After getting discouraged here in Columbia, I decided to seek a second opinion. My plan was to try the spinal cord implant again; however, Dr. Highsmith immediately found my problem...and I had LLift surgery on 9/30 ! Thank God I found someone who listened !!!!
