Dr kinzel shouldn’t even be classified as a doctor
If you’re looking for a doctor who actually listens, cares, and knows what they’re doing, Dr. Kinzel is not the one. My experience with him was nothing short of frustrating. He was dismissive, uninterested, and seemed more focused on rushing me out the door than actually addressing my concerns. He doesn’t listen to concerns and doesn’t care about your future—only the money he will make. A real doctor should prioritize patient care, but that’s clearly not the case here. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.

Very little wait time, knowledgeable, takes plenty of time to talk and discuss concerns and issues. My daughter sees him as well and he has been incredibly helpful

My daughter Heather P. was seen for severe GERD and positive Barrets. She was prescribed 40mg of Omeprazole twice a day. The prescription was written incorrectly and the pharmacy was unable to reach anyone to correct it. 5 months later and over 10, TEN phone calls later my daughter has never had a return call or the issue resolved. I'm a nurse so I understand prescriptions and what pharmacies require. This situation is beyond unacceptable. For my daughter to be denied medication she needs because Dr Kinzel and his staff are too incompetent or unconcerned to fix a prescription is unforgivable. We have been buying Omeprazole over the counter at exorbant cost to cover her until a new GI doctor can be found. Maybe it's because Dr Kinzel considers patients with state insurance as second class citizens. Only Dr Kinzel can say why this situation has gone on for 5 months. Absolutely despicable care

Because of this doctor I went misdiagnosed when I had Stage III colon cancer. I cried in his office & told him I felt like I was dying my stomach pain was so bad. He had zero compassion or care & treated me like I was crazy or a drug seeker. He never performed a colonoscopy or even suggested it. I saw him several times & he kept saying "You're fine. You're young". Thank God my gyno Dr. Rushing told me to get a 2nd opinion with a different GI doc. The very first thing he said "no one has given you a colonoscopy? That's the first thing you need done." I was diagnosed immediately with a huge tumor in my colon. Had this doctor done his job, it would have been caught earlier. I am now 42 with Stage IV colon cancer. Dr. Kinzel ruined my life. Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else. Anywhere else!

I would give Doctor Kinzel 5 stars if it wasn't for the horrible staff he has working for him. I went in for an endoscopy and they charged me $275 when I was admitted. Prior to the procedure they screened me for possible Covid 19 and they said I had to have the test done before they could perform the procedure (It sure would have been nice if they told me that on the phone prior to me paying for my driver that day $150+). The nurse at that time told me she would take care of reversing the $275, I asked her twice because I didn't have a great feeling she would follow up, and I was right. I had the test done, I was negative. I called them back to tell them I was negative and to setup a new appointment. They told me they have no records of me paying the $275 or any billing for that amount. No matter what I said she wouldn't listen, she was rude and interrupted me constantly. Kinzel might be good but his staff is not worth the trouble.

If I could give -5 stars, I would!! I have dual insurance, and my deductible is covered because of this. Office worker Sarah called me and said that she was having trouble contacting my doctor to get a referral, and asked me if I could contact them and have them contact her. I immediately went to the doctors office and had the doctors office personnel contact her. Before leaving the doctors office, I talked to Sarah and she said that was all that I needed to do and that everything was taken care of. Months later , I received a message on my credit report that a collection had been filed against me. I contacted them to find out what it was, and who had filed the collection. Too my SHOCK, it was filed from Dr. Jason E Kinzel's office. I have never ever had my credit tarnished!! I had perfect credit until this happened!!

My husband has been out of his colon medication going on 3 weeks now. Left 3 messages with office staff.Last time left message told office staff person tell office manager call my husband back or Dr. Kinzel. Never heard from anyone as of today. My husband has an infection in the colon and has bleeding from this infection. The reason for this call was my husband could not afford the medication he had been taking, it went up at the drug store from $50 to $300 a month.Office staff problem

Dr Kinzel went above and beyond to explain and help.me through my GI experience. I wish there were more doctor's as concerned for me and my family as Dr Kinzel was. I have already referred him to 3 other family members who will attest to his help, knowledge , and professionalism with anything GI related. If you're in Huntsville ask for him.. you'll be glad to you did.!!

Dr Kinzel explained and educated me on the procedure I was going to receive. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain what I did not understand. I have COPD and other medical issues, I tolerated the procedure well. At follow up Dr. Kinzel took the time to go over the results. I would recommend Dr. Kinzel to my family
