Dr. K was easy to work with as far as managing prescription medication. However, he snuck in multiple charges on some of my visits for 'Additional supportive therapy - 90833'As a patient who was present for all appointments, I was not aware Dr. K was attempting to provide 'psychotherapy, a series of techniques for treating the psychiatric disorders of the patient, in addition to an evaluation and management service in the same session.' This service was definitely not requested, and it definitely was not provided. Seems shady to bill for this.

Cares about his patients
Telehealth
I am a non-trust person, and I wouldn't say I like to talk about my issues because of past problems. The first day that I met Doctor Kudurogianis, my suspicions began to lower. I could not believe that a physician was asking me questions, listening to me, and following up with reasonable responses. I have been with him for years, and I have not felt unheard of once. Never has he rushed our conversations, and the best part is that he explains the medication to you versus just giving you a prescription. Dr. K.'s personality and his empathy for his patients are top-notch.

Excellent dr!
I love Dr. K! I am so sad he left the office he was working at. He is a wonderful dr with a great bedside manner. He actually listens to you. I can not figure out if he moved to a different practice& is still doing psychiatry. If anyone knows if he is at a new office please email me- Sumshine1@yahoo.com thank you! I don’t want to see a different dr!

Great Dr!
I've been a patient of Dr. K since 2017 (now 2022) and he has been an actual life saver! He has provided continuous treatment for what started as very severe anxiety & depression. He has also provided unique suggestions (not just "take deep breaths") for physical symptoms of anxiety, which have helped a ton. The facility itself (Tucker Psych) is hit or miss, both before and after changes related to COVID. They don't have great, or really any, technology to utilize for communicate with your doc, schedule appts, pay bills, etc - which means calling the office and being on hold forever.

It's so important that psychiatrists listen to their patients, but unfortunately it's rare. I'd seen 5 psychiatrists before Dr. K and never felt like I had full autonomy over my treatment. Finding the right medication for your mental health can be dehumanizing, difficult, and frustrating, but I've never felt any of those things in the years I've been with him. He listens to me, takes what I want and think I need into consideration for my treatment, and when it doesn't quite line up with what he thinks, he always explains the reasons behind it until I have no more questions. First doctor who hasn't just thrown benzos at me for my anxiety and called it a day. I have trust issues with the behavioral health field, but after 2 appointments with him, I've trusted him explicitly since. I feel heard, seen, and cared for. Our appointments are always professional, but at the same time, I feel very relaxed when I speak to him. I cannot speak more highly of him and always recommend him to others.

Way too conservative. Didn't seem to understand the severity of my depression vs. other medical issues. Minimally empathetic. I'd try a different practitioner.

Like someone else said, Dr. K is very easy to talk to. Sharing some necessary information just doesn't come natural for me. But Dr. K knows how to make you feel comfortable.

I was impressed by Dr. K at our first visit. He is easy to talk to, and he actually hears what you are saying, processes the information you give him, and gives you options on a variety of treatment methods that will help you. He is extremely knowledgable about medications, their short term side affects AND the long term effects. I wish I found him years ago. Dr. K is down to earth and quiet and treats people like they should be treated, with dignity and respect.

Dr. K cancelled my appointment after waiting over 6 months. He did not open up another appointment slot, but expected me to wait another 5 months. This is not safe for a bipolar patient on medications and between doctors. The office staff was unapologetic and I was nothing but nice. I'm a medical student under a lot of stress and I feel betrayed and left on the street by Dr. K. I'm going to report him to the board because he had me in a holding pattern and should have told me sooner.

Dr K is an excellent doctor. I was nervous to change doctors after many years with the same provider and was very fortunate to have found Dr K. He is thorough, professional and genuinely cares. Wait times have always been reasonable and staff has communicated if there is a conflict in his schedule. I have referred several people to Dr K as well who are equally satisfied with their care. Great asset to the Richmond area!!

Arrogant, doesn’t listen to patients, forced me to go cold turkey off of a medication after ignoring my many requests to be taken off of it safely. There’s a reason he’s the only one at Tucker psychiatric accepting new patients. One time he made me miss class because he was over an hour late for an appointment (but couldn’t be bothered to tell any of his patients). This guy sucks. You’re better off with a GP.
